Lennon coming the other way in the De Vries deal?

When did Lennon sign for Leeds?

If we're honest, if Clem and Weso are both injured, how many centre-mids do we have left????

Would have been utterly shocked if King HADN'T been in the squad after that. Question is, will he start?

I heard the surprise is they are having a Walsh - Bull fisticuffs showdown in the centre circle at half time, Fulop has been dropped, replaced by Elvis. And Ian Marshall is coming back for a 1 game special appearance up front. Mixer. Whats all this chat about King.

Spurs signed Lennon from Leeds Gibbo but it was about 5 years ago wasn't it?? lol

I love the cryptic shite that I read on here with people knowing stuff and then not knowing.

Im gutted that Clemence is injured for this one as he has been quality but never mind, GM is going 5-1-5 for the next game so we dont need a midfield :D

Andy King should be stepping up in to the first team alongside Clemence not as a replacement. Big chance for him tonight, but he needs experience and quality like Clemence alongside him.

If he has to play alongside Chambers and Maybury, it could be a nightmare for him.

But anyway, big chance for him and I hope he does the business. He deserves his chance, will be nice to see a midfielder interested in trying to score goals.

I meant how does he know him!

Or was he at the reserves?

AK Was sat infront of us at the reseys last night! He usually plays and did not play in the reserves when they were so desperately short of a central midfield that Levi was the midfield ballwinner :o .

AK in the squad definately ;)

With Clem out, Kishishev and Hume in the middle?

It would appear that Im not the only 1 on this forum who isnt convinced with Meggs selections so far..

I think on Saturday the 3-4-3 (or 5-2-3 depends on how your personally looked at it..) was potentially a good solid formation, the problem was the personel in there...

Chambers in the middle - why when Kishishev was on the bench

Stearman on the right - why when Chambers has more pace

Cort - why

De Vries - seems to be split on this one, I thought he did ok but against better opposition he would have struggled

Fryatt on the bench - why

Hume on the bench - why oh why oh why!!!!

Its all well and good Megs looking at the players and trying different things but against Stoke he lost the balance of the formation which ultimatly cost us the game.

* We looked good down the left with Mattock attacking, no balance as Stearman wasnt as forthcoming.

* Chambers and Clem just didnt work in the middle, the idea was there for Chambers to play defensive but why not Kish?

* 3 Forwards would have worked in my opinion if we had played 1 target man (not 2!!) and 2 battler players around him (Fryatt, Hume or Campbell)

Tonights selection is going to be interesting but I fear yet another frustrating one.

God I hope we beat Wolves!!!!

Stearman was getting forward just as much as mattock, in fact he was at the far post on many occasions but the cross never reached him

I cant work that out either but then again GM was Chambers manager at West Brom and may have used him in there. So far it seems it hasnt worked and I would prefer him at right-back but apparently Stearman has done enough to start in that position.

I dont think it came across as I meant, I agree Stearman was getting forward but not in the same capacity. We had far more productivity on the left and so many more crosses which in this type of formation is what you need. I think Stearman played well, I just feel that someone with more pace such as Chambers would have given a greater balance to this formation and to the game on saturday.

The suprise is that Jimmy Neilsen is getting a farwell game as a striker playing in a hat, zinc and sunglasses so he doesn't get burnt by the bright lights

i just pray King's the superhero he's been made out to be on here for the last 2 years. my expectations have been built up to the extreme.

Or is he the next Tommi Petrescu, Tommwy Wright etc etc!?!

Andy King is not a superhero and has never been made out to be one.

I've described the sort of player he is in detail and it is perhaps a sad commentary on the state of things at Leicester City that he is probably the only central midfielder player on the clubs books with some of the attributes I've mentioned.

He was first mentioned last season because the attacking aspect of our midfield was woeful.

This season I fully expected us to have all sorts of people to choose from.

Sadly that is not the case and King, despite his relative inexperience, is simply left as the only attacking option apart, perhaps, from Newton.

But Newton is no header of the ball and not the most comfortable defender.

End of story really.

King might fail to deliver. I sincerely hope he doesn't because I never like to see any of our players struggle.

But he is there for one reason only. Because he has shown some form at a time when a vacancy in the first team has cropped up and people whose opinion counts believe he's the best option available.

Simple as that.
