Even if what they believe is is exploiting their position as providers of a key service to bully their employers into paying them more than they deserve?

hairy Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 great. my pay cheque is due 4/5th of the month My company wont pay directly into our accounts. Its the cash flow thing. Dont get paid until they do from their clients. Thats illegal.
Rincewind Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 could be good if there was anything worth nicking where I work. We are there mainly to deterthe few teenage scroats vandalising the property. There are others who think private property is there for exploration. I'm sure they would object strangers going in their backyard just to 'have a look around' Why is it illegal? The company has a set date for receiving money from the clients which I assume is a week or so before the workers get paid. They must have a very tight budget Even so their bank balance would be healthier than mine.. The working month ends on the 25th which is the date we have to get our timesheets in (by post) in order to get paid. If they receive them late they claim that they can hold back the wages until the following month. Don't agree with it all but there is probably some law/clause that allows them to do it.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 I nearly went on strike. One of my collegues pay cheque bounced, fortunatley mine cleared, but had it bounced, Manwell was going on strike. Thats how much of a joke this place is! If you hadn't already guessed that by how little they give me to do.
