Simi Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Why are some people including Kaebi on the subs bench?Has something been said or are we just being optimistic? Not in the reserves tonight?

Thracian Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Everyway I look at our team three centre-backs seems a luxury considering our lack of fire power. On the other hand the extra defensive padlocks have meant for a very mean defence and I don't see Megson throwing that away. So I think he might start: Fulop; Stearman, McAuley, N'Gotty, Kisnorbo, Sheehan; Chambers, Clemence, Porter; Cort, Fryatt Subs: Henderson, Mattock, Wesolowski, Campbell, Hume. Porter has played central midfield lately for the Reserves and marshalled the area quite well against Stoke. It wiould be nice for him to have the free role I think would suit him so much. Goals will still be hard come by from open play and it was a toss up whether to go with Campbell's pace or Fryatt's artistry but Fryatt is the man in form so I cannot see Megson not starting him. It is hard to pick Cort ahead of Campbell and Hume but he's going to score so he's got to be in the side. He will also provide a target for Sheehan's crosses and go with McAuley, Kisnorbo, N'Gotty to give us a MON-type kamikazi hit squad at free kicks.

Koke Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Porter will be on the bench if he's lucky. I can't see him starting.

It might seem that all I do is have a dig but some of the things you come out with are just stupid
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 I think it'd be harsh to drop Chambers after he gave a brilliant performance against Wednesday. I'd rather him than Kishishev.
Asha Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 I think it'd be harsh to drop Chambers after he gave a brilliant performance against Wednesday. I'd rather him than Kishishev. I'd agree with that. Chambers looks more attackive.
MPH Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Megson would be crazy to pick Kaebi for the first team in his current form. I think this may be one of the situations where MM might of given GM a suggestive nudge... I'd agree with that. Chambers looks more attackive .

If so he would have been straight into my team.
Jimmy Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Is he back from injury? If so he would have been straight into my team. yes apparently, i think starting 1 midfielder thats just back from injury is enough for 1 game, plus clem's injury will mean he would be the fitter
Asha Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 yes apparently, i think starting 1 midfielder thats just back from injury is enough for 1 game, plus clem's injury will mean he would be the fitter Good, in my opinion the best tackling midfielder we have. Will be good to see him back in.
Jimmy Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 Good, in my opinion the best tackling midfielder we have. Will be good to see him back in. maybe so but hamstring injuries are never easy to recover from, i'd rather introduce him with 20 to go then risk starting him, ease him back in, we rushed people back all the time last season and they never looked any good
Nod.E Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 same but clemence for king Weso in for ( i dont know who ) I would also put Kaebi on the bench with the option of sticking him right wing if we need to chase the game.
Moreton Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 i think kaebi should play for a change and try that young striker who signed on loan whos name i cant spell...
Geo V Posted 17 October 2007 Posted 17 October 2007 I think GM will go.... Fulop Stearman - N'Gotty - McAuley - Kisnorbo - Sheehan Clemence - Wesolowski - King Hume - Fryatt Subs:- Henderson Mattock Kaebi Chambers DJ Its pointless in changing the system away from home and he wont start Kaebi IMO. I think King will stay in the side as Kisha`s expense despitehis own goal tonight
Ric Flair Posted 18 October 2007 Posted 18 October 2007 Fulop N'Gotty McAuley Kisnorbo Stearman Chambers Clemence © Newton Sheehan Hume Fryatt Subs: DJ, Weso, Henderson, Kaebi, Mattock
