Megson wanted by bolton?

I would absolutely piss myself if we had our manager poached off us by a Premiership club. What a load of shite that article really is, why are the papers compelled to link clubs with all the run of the mill and usually out of work managers? Can't they make a few calls and find out who might actually be in the chairman's thoughts, it really riles me.

Although on this occasion i'd be sniggering for weeks if Megson was snared by Bolton, for having the X Factor that Gartside desires.

That really made me laugh, which moron made that story up, hes been out of the game for ages, has come back and done an average job, why the hell would Bolton want him?

Anyone think Milan's mate at The Mirror might have been given a back hander to publish this to try and make our fans get behind Megson even more, by thinking he's coveted by Premiership clubs? Very far fetched, but Mandaric enjoys using the media to his advantage and sometimes disadvantage.

"Leicester boss Megson linked with Bolton job

tribalfooball.com - October 18, 2007

Leicester City boss Gary Megson and Graeme Souness are both in the frame for the vacant manager's job at Bolton Wanderers.

The Mirror says Megson, who recently took charge at Leicester, is the shock front-runner. Bolton chairman Phil Gartside admires him and thinks he is the type of tough manager that he could work with.

Megson is on a one-year deal with a two-season extension if he does well, so compensation would not be a major problem - and Leicester supremo Milan Mandaric may even let him go without too much of a fight.

The far-travelled boss was out of work after a disastrous spell at Nottingham Forest, but Gartside likes his work ethic and thinks he is potentially the right man.

Souness is also in the frame because of his reputation as an impact manager. He is also available, lives locally and Bolton know he is up for a return to the dug-out. "

I can't believe someone's paying this person for publishing such cake & arse!!

lol

What a load of shite.

Lets start a poll for our next manager. I know Kevin Keegan and Joe Royale came out this week to say they dont want to return to footy management but I have a feeling The Sun will have them as front runners as joint managers.

Planks.

well the fact that its the mirror involved and MM is mentioned makes me wonder that there might be some some small chance that there is some truth in the original story.... but i dont know if i would go that far..
