It is ridiculous, is that two home wins since xmas? We must have the worst home record in the country by quite a distance now.

And we've only scored 10 goals in our 11 games and 6 of them were under Allen.

We should be biting Bolton's hands off, 300k and it means we don't have to pay him any compensation.

Bring on the Chelsea! it could seriously be the biggest win in football history. Seriously Chelsea could net 10 at least.

Yeah but we will have the underdog mentality which suits us better. Plus they will be expected to take the game to us, being the homeside and one of the top four teams in the country.

3-0 should do it.

Hey there, I did want to start a new topic, but it seems you guys don't allow that for newbies round here.

I'm a Forest fan and am here to comiserate you on the start of your torturous slog. I have been a Forest fan throughout the depths of our despair, seen the lowest of the lows and very few highs. Yet I can say, with complete confidence, that 5 of the worst performances I have ever had the misfortune to witness with Forest, were under Megson...that includes our play-off humiliation.

Peterborough in the FA Cup, when they were a League 2 side (or about to be relegated, can't remember which), and we were a Championship side with the likes of Marlon King, Commons and David Johnson (albeit in our relegation season). We went 1-0 up through a fortunate King goal, and spent the rest of the game (and the 10 minutes beforehand) defending for our lives at home against a shit Peterborough side. I thought that was bad, but it got worse. We lost 3-0 to Plymouth at home to all but confirm our relegation. We capitulated and our apparently rock solid defence looked amateurish. Again, it got worse.

League 1, a bright new start, a whole pre-season with a manager who was meant to be able to instil discipline into our raucous squad and an influx of highly rated players, including Breckin, Eaden, Padula and Gary Holt, later being joined by Tyson and Grant Holt. With that sort of quality having been brought in (although 3 of the 6 proved to be cripples or crap) we then proceeded to defend for our lives again against inferior (in quality anyway) opposition, which can be summed up by a torrid and humiliating defeat away to Yeovil, the new worst performance I have ever witnessed from a Forest side. Yet the man just wouldn't give up, he kept ploughing away, saying we lacked discipline, saying we need to build from the back before we can start playing good football, saying that there were 'dark forces' at work. Basically, spouting a load of bollocks. He left with us hovering just above the League 1 relegation zone. Thank God for Charlie McParland and Frank Barlow who salvaged our season in style.

In spite of what he may say or claim, Megson will not change his tactics. He will play players out of position and drop his best players. If you string two passes together as a team, it's a miracle from God feeling sorry for you. His signings may seem impressive, but the majority will turn out shite (he signed Eugene Dadi, how fooking clueless can one man be?). He will argue and fall out with players, there is no second chance as far as he is concerned. There will be 11 men back for a corner, never more than 5 or 6 forward for an attacking corner. He will blame everyone else but himself. His defence starts off solid and ends up as fragile as a cardboard box left out in the rain for 24 hours. He will kick out a load of 'troublemakers' and replace them with gutless, talentless twats. He will get you playing football that makes England matches entertaining and leaves Allardyce looking like a master in the art of attacking football.

This may sound like a melodramatic Forest (or Florist for you guys ;) ) fan with a bad experience, but honestly, get out whilst you still have something to salvage.

Good post, son. Might be a Foxes forum but stick around if you can keep up that sense and decency.

If it was up to us, mate, he wouldn't be here in the first place in all honesty. And I'm told that chants of 'Megson for Bolton!' gave hints that we aren't too happy he's still here, despite the Hillsborough result.

Edit:

Maddog, what the FOCK are you on?

Good post and forest fans warned us about him but people didn't listen ... Some forest fan said he had been going for 35 yrs and it was the worst football he had ever seen when they had megson.

What are the seasons expectations now? Will it become the mighty 7 who have never been out of the top two divisions?

If things keep going this way, we could well see ourselves in the bottom 3 sooner rather than later.

Thats the pessimistic view... however, if you think about it, we've only lost to Charlton and Sheffield United who are teams that got relegated from the Premiership last year if you discard the Blackpool mess up. Its not all bad... sure, we need to win, but if we can start to perform against the shite in this division, then there is no reason why we can't not only get into the top half, but maybe challenge for promotion! :D

You're not being melodramatic at all. Your results and record under the ginger minger spoke for themselves.

We're finding out the hard way that he hasn't learned a thing from his time with you. He's still making the same mistakes and his teams are still playing in the same shockingly poor way.

Quite why Bolton should be so keen on him while he is such a dismal failure at a level below is something only their chairman can answer.

But if they still want him we shouldn't haggle for compo - in fact we should be giving them a dowry to take him off our hands!

Where are the goals going to come from, which will win us games and enable ANY sort of movement up the table, let alone to a top-six position?

QPR and Scunny were sh!te enough, and we couldn't beat either of them! :(

Tonight was a complete utter waste of time, just sitting there freezing and trying to get awake. STEARMAN IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF SPACE ... HE IS SOOOOO FOOKING SHIT ITS UNREAL. I can't even remember us having a attempt on goal and soon as they scored i knew we wouldn't get nothing from the game. The only time i woke up was at the end when the ... WHAT ALOAD OF RUBBISH CHANT went up and the MEGSON TO BOLTON chant.

We have a shit manager, a shit team, a shit squad, a shit chairman and shit pies

FOOKING USELESS MEGSON.

Don't diss the pies......the chicken balti ain't bad.Apart from that i agree!

We need pace and presence up front. It is hard to believe so many of our players simply couldn't pass the ball accurately, especially within one or two.

Neither of our central midfield players hit the penalty box and if Stearman's effort was the best we could manage we might as well abandon the wing back system forthwith.

Mind you, once N'Gotty went, McAuley and Kisnorbo looked much more vulnerable with their iffy distribution and lack of pace.

The division is being torn up by watford FFS, it's there for the taking and we can't get to the feckin' starting gate- this season is one more litany of embarrassment and "what might have been" - great being a city fan innit?

As much as i hate Megsons totally dire football, i think he has been unfortunate. Look at the last 2 games. S****horpe right, we went there with a gameplan, keep it tight and maybe score on the break. We got that elusive chance that Megson wanted (Fryatts), but he missed it. Chances are we'd of won that game if he'd of put that away.

Now, last night. Fryatt, after some lovely interplay with John Collins spurned a pretty good chance, in the first half then had another one which would of put us 1-0 up and chucked their game plan right out of the window. Now, im not blaming Fryatt, or anyone else for that matter, im just saying that its not just Megson, its the players aswel, its not like we've not had chances.

Another week, Fryatt buries both chances in both games, we win them both, and Megson is a tactical genius. I just dont think Megson should bear the whole brunt of the criticism, because in his eyes and those who understand that football is about winning not winning pretty, his ideas are getting there, just need someone to put one of these chances in and we'll be firing.

Mandaric is a fool for appointing an idiot like Megson. Most of us could see it ending like this, yet he still went ahead and gave the job to Megson.

Don't let Mandaric's millions fool you - he's achieved nothing here and we're in the same predicament as last year despite his promises. He got lucky at Pompey with Redknapp and even then nearly ****ed it up. I doubt he can pull it off again if this is anything to go by.

Three year plan :D anyone expecting over night miracles when he took over needs to wake up.

Still though last night was terrible, I went with a couple of mates but one of them hadn't been to a live football game over a year (he'd been away, and he's not a Leicester fan) before kick off he turned to me and said "doesn't matter who it is, you can't beat live football."

Come full time I was embarrassed. Really embarrassed, I would be alright if I hadn't sat the lad through the awful S****horpe game as well. Things need to change, I still think it's a bit early for his supporters to be turning on him, but as someone who didn't want him in the first place I'd be more than happy to see him gone very very soon.
