Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 January 17th Fulham 4 Leicester City 3 February 17th :w00t: Leicester City 3 Coventry City 0 March 17th Leicester City 1 Queens Park Rangers 3 April 17th Leicester City 1 Birmingham City 2 --- And we haven't got a single game on the 17th of any month this season!
MC Prussian Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 There wasn't a lot to cheer about this year so far. Championship games were mostly a boring affair. Beating Coventry and Watford were obviously highlights as far as the result is concerned. In terms of atmosphere, the Fulham and Chelsea cup games stand out by a mile.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Highs - none Lows - plenty The joys of supporting the mighty foxes
Craig Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Highs - noneLows - plenty The joys of supporting the mighty foxes I'd say Forest and Villa were most certainly highs... As was Chelsea...
General Smuts Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 The Championship has been our Achilles Heel this year, the cup's been where its at.
Ultra Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 I'd say Forest and Villa were most certainly highs... As was Chelsea... The Villa game definitely was. But as for Forest the Clive Clarke episode took the shine off the win, plus the fact they're only a League One club so it was no big deal to beat them. The Chelsea game was entertaining and full of surprising twists and turns. Ultimately, though, it was still a defeat for us, so shouldn't be counted as a "high". In the league, there were a few highs - hammering Cov and Watford at home and the wins at Barnsley and Bristol City. However there are just too many low points to mention.. The sooner 2007 ends, the better..
NewquayFox Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Mainly low`s this season, and thinking about it low`s for the last few seasons.Hopefully when Ollie delves into the transfer market in January we will start getting some decent results as i am sure he is the man for the job,he`s been after the City job for 18 months so come on Ollie show the loyal City fans what you can do for the rest of the season. ;0)
mutternutter Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 High of the year has to be the return of Luggy.Low of the year must be finding out that he was nothing more than a lier.
Father Ted Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Highs - the feeling you get when you think you are about to beat Fulham and Chelsea. - And of course beating Villa. Beating Cov at home and Watford. Also Birmingham 2nd half last season. Lows - Megson being appointed. Nearly being relegated had it not been for Wortho. Being only able to sign players like Jarrett and Horsfield to try and keep us in the division.
Simi Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Highs - Fulham, home and away. Chelsea away. Villa away. Forest away. Preston away. Cov home 3-0. Start of N Block. Lows - Jamie and Micky been kicked out of N Block, I knew it was going to end after that. Most home games this season. Many, many more.
WetFlannel Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Highs - Coventry at home... we had so much hope after Mandaric took over, especially in his first match leading Cov 3 - 0 at half time... also Chelsea but i didnt go to that, still a terrific performance... Lows - QPR at home was simply shocking, aswell as Plymouth away 3 - 0... and i was pretty hacked off when MA was sacked, although ive got over it
Monk Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Lows: That F'king charlton game (the game, not the company). I hope Saturday is better.
lildave3 Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Highs - Watford, Cov at home. Fulham, Chelsea, Villa, Forest (last few minutes at least), Preston (last season) and Barnsley. Lows - Hull, Qpr at home (last season), erm...I can't think of them, I only remember the highs
Asha Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Highs - The cup, Lows - The League Have to agree with that.
SamL Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Highs: Any of the rare wins that we manage to get, The great atmosphere at Preston, Staying up, Milan Mandaric, Carling Cup, FA Cup. Lows: Constant instability, all of the awful performances.
Kilworthfox Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Highs Barnsley away, F*rest 2nd time, Villa away, Ipswich home, K*v home, Accrington away (fans) Lows Wolves home, QPR home, Burnley Home, Charlton Away How positive am I?
Jay Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 The Villa game definitely was. The sooner 2007 ends, the better.. I don't know how anyone could have left stamford bridge without holding their head up high, chest out feeling proud to be a Leicester City fan you can't say that has happend at the end of many matches this year!! it certainly was a high point imo
Ultra Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I don't know how anyone could have left stamford bridge without holding their head up high, chest out feeling proud to be a Leicester City fan you can't say that has happend at the end of many matches this year!!it certainly was a high point imo You can wrap a turd up in whatever you like - ultimately though, it remains a turd. The same applies to defeats. As they say in the States, "Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser".
Daggers Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 As they say in the States, "Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser". Forunately, many of us do not hold aspirations to ape the North Americans. The high of 2007 for me was Preston away, that huge leap to securing our safety - a solid 90 minute effort from the stand spuring City on to Nils' goal.
