Bert Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Looks a decent film. Gong to see it on Orange Wed this week Was Wednesday yesterday?
lildave3 Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 I Am Shit. At something in particular or just generally?
Head Honcho Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Opinions? I'm all for books being made into films but this is so far removed from the book that I doubt I'll even bother going to see it. The Omega Man with Charlton Heston stayed pretty much true to the book and was a good film.
Tommy G Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Was Wednesday yesterday? Yep your correct. Sorry I mean next week..
Simi Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 Looks quality I think. Going to try and see it sometime soon.
BigGibbo Posted 27 December 2007 Posted 27 December 2007 At something in particular or just generally? At suffering through far fetched big budget yank shit!
hebangsthedrums Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 The book is top, but I'm not really a Will Smith fan but may give it a go
filbertway Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I thought this was JME starting another one of his topics again.

James. Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I'm all for books being made into films but this is so far removed from the book that I doubt I'll even bother going to see it. This is exactly what I thought. The book is a dark, depressing portrayal of a man struggling with an alcohol addiction and acute loneliness while fighting a seemingly impossible battle. This just looks like a vampire film with Will f**king Smith. The book is excellent though. I would suggest reading it before going to the film.
CupidStunt Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Not a bad film, could have been better glad i never paid and watched it at cinema though
Asha Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Not a bad film, could have been betterglad i never paid and watched it at cinema though Should i not see it then? I'm torn between watching this and enchanted.
Maybes Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 Went to see it last night. Pretty good, not amazing though. However keeps you on edge for the majority of the film.
CupidStunt Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 You might enjoy it,The copy i got is a dvd screener,so its pretty damn good quality,so i got a good feel for the film I just thought the last 1/4 of the film was rushed, and the ending was shite Not sure of the rating, but its not for kids i'd say
kyleolly Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I thought i am legend was crap very rushed ending and weird storyline. Fair play to will smith though it must be difficult to act in a film and be on your own or with a dog for 3/4 of it.seen enchanted aswell its a good film for 12 year olds shame im 21 going to see alvin and the chipmunks tonight
danny. Posted 28 December 2007 Posted 28 December 2007 I watched it on wednesday at the cinema. I'm not a fan of will smith but his acting was excellent in this. The first 2/3 of the film are fantastic, the last 1/3 all a bit predictable and hollywood. The ending sucks - worth watching overall though, some very good tense moments (although I was very upset about what happened to sam )

With many films like this I'm left wondering how good it COULD have been.
