Fox in a Box Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 We all want Marton Fulop back between the sticks in a foxes shirt, so what is really required to get him back Ok I reckon 2.5m + add ons if we get promoted in the next 2/3 years, which would take it too 3m We could all assist in pushing unwanted players that IH doesnt want out the door to free up cash and wages. We could all join a trust a little like the foxes trust, but call it the fuloptrust.... The foxes trust could guide the fund raising as they have experience. What else is needed?

From the Merc today "Negotiations for Sunderland's Graham Kavanagh are on-going, but Holloway concedes the move for Black Cats goalkeeper Marton Fulop is all but dead". So maybe a miracle is needed?

Tbh I'd rather spend the £3m on a decent midfield and try and win every game 4-3 than spend all of our budget on Fulop and watch 0-0 and 1-1 draws.
DB11 Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Fulop is one man. If we have a solid defence and can score a lot of goals with new midfielders, the odd goal or two that Hendo might concede that Fulop could have saved may not matter.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Is this going to go on all month? Fulops gone, end of story. If he comes back great but it looks highley unlikely.
davieG Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 We could stop looking so desperate because all that does is push the price up.
Daggers Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 We could stop looking so desperate because all that does is push the price up. Yea. He was no Mark Wallington. **** off Fulop.
mancunianfox Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 We could stop looking so desperate because all that does is push the price up. We should start a Fulop is smear campaign and then try a sneaky 50k bid.
Fat Ron Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Is this going to go on all month? Fulops gone, end of story. If he comes back great but it looks highley unlikely. More likely all season... some people are only just coming to terms with Allen being gone let alone Fulop!!!
mancunianfox Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 More likely all season... some people are only just coming to terms with Allen being gone let alone Fulop!!! I came to terms with Allen being gone as soon as Carl Cort made his debut.
Ric Flair Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Cov had exactly the same predicament as we did with Fulop. He was quality for them but they couldn't sign him permanently, but that didn't stop the fans waffling on about wanting him back for months on end. Time to look elsewhere. If Keane isn't playing ball for £1 million plus then just get a steady and proven Championship goalie for half of that and use the rest to sign some midfielders or a left back. I'd like updates on what Carlo Nash is up to as someone else has suggested. He might be in his 30's but if his form against us in recent seasons is anything to go by, then he's every bit as good as anything outside of the Premiershit.
The People's Hero Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 We should start a Fulop is smear campaign and then try a sneaky 50k bid. Thinking about it... where IS Madeleine McCann?

Agreed! Fulop is one man.If we have a solid defence and can score a lot of goals with new midfielders, the odd goal or two that Hendo might concede that Fulop could have saved may not matter. So much sense! We should start a Fulop is smear campaign and then try a sneaky 50k bid. Crap, awful, the worst goalie I've ever seen, not just for Leicester, but for any team EVER (including Sunday league pub teams), I wouldn't give you a fiver for him and I'd rather play my grandma in goal (and she's dead) PS, will you take £500k for him?
mancunianfox Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Thinking about it... where IS Madeleine McCann? Your sailing a little bit close to the wind this morning aren't you? At least your entering into the spirit of thing though
davieG Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Yea.He was no Mark Wallington. **** off Fulop. T-shirts £15 each

Maybe every fan should stick a fiver in a huuuuuge pot at the next home game, hoping we have a sell out, that would be at least £175,000 towards getting him. !
Ric Flair Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Thomas Sorensen? Yes please, i'd tell Villa that we want him and £1 million for Stearman. Might be a good deal.
Monk Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I'll contribut £8.57 to the Marton Fulop fund. Only £2,999,991.43 required.
The People's Hero Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I'll contribut £8.57 to the Marton Fulop fund. Only £2,999,991.43 required. Whoa! Don't be hasty.... Need I remind you that that is a LOT of Country Slices.
Nick Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Whoa!Don't be hasty.... Need I remind you that that is a LOT of Country Slices. Mr. Kipling changed my Holy Country Slices about ten years ago. The sugary crystalised bits used to compliment the sultanas in a splendid fashion, then along comes the power crazed Mr. Kipling screaming change and the shape of the slices and the taste and the consistency and the packaging all deteriorated and we are now left with Mr. Kiplings changed, second rate not as good as they were slices. There. I said it. N.

Scow Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Well FIAB, you could put yourself forward for scientific research - we may then understand why you're so fuc king backward. Plus, we can put any funds raised from this directly to purchasing Fulop.

MikeyT Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Great, total donations so far £10, and I've not spent a penny of it on cakes. yet Ian Holloway has said over on the Bluearmy website that the deal for Fulop is all but dead!
