blue blood Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 £3mill? so if nobody comes in for himu people think we will be able to bring him back on loan till the end of the season? Ive not heard of anyone being linked to him yet....
Fox in a Box Posted 3 January 2008 Author Posted 3 January 2008 Well FIAB, you could put yourself forward for scientific research - we may then understand why you're so fuc king backward. Plus, we can put any funds raised from this directly to purchasing Fulop. Happy New Year you GIMP. £2 raised already.... Why don't you stop buying GIMP outfits and contribute yourself!
Daggers Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 This months FIAB posts are brought to you by the numbers 6 & 12 and the word GIMP.
Tommy G Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Is this going to go on all month? Fulops gone, end of story. If he comes back great but it looks highley unlikely. Too right Ian Walker wouldnt be a bad addition. We could do a lot worse. I would Doubt Sorenson would like to join a relegation battle club like Leicester?

I would Doubt Sorenson would like to join a relegation battle club like Leicester? I mentioned Walker a few days ago, He was a solid keeper for us back in the prem days, dont see why he couldnt do it again. Fulop isnt the beez kneez as some people appear to suggest, yes he has been solid but tbh i think its just because were so used to such trollop in goal he looks something special. Ok i admit i went on about Hendo the other day but i withdraw with my tail between my legs and admit yes he is pretty poo. I want Tayler/Walker theyl be cheaper then Fulop and as good if not better! Get on!!! Madarich Get it done!!
Monk Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I'm still holding out for an audacious bid for Fulop: £1m + a crate of Mr Kipling's Lemon Slices + Elvis Hammond (ankle)
The People's Hero Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I'm still holding out for an audacious bid for Fulop:£1m + a crate of Mr Kipling's Lemon Slices + Elvis Hammond (ankle) That's more than reasonable. Money, refreshments and someone to serve said refreshments and guard your property.
TheBlinding Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Sunderland are just going to be stuck with a keeper that nobody is prepared to buy, he'll be 3rd choice and they'll still be paying him to do nothing, we'll make a last minute bid for a reasonable price(1m-1.5m) and they'll have to accept it and everything will be fine...hopefully

Scow Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 what? FIAB has mastered the art of an open question. Well done.
Master Fox Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 The Fulop fund is sh*test idea i've ever heard.
Father Ted Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Ian Holloway has said over on the Bluearmy website that the deal for Fulop is all but dead! If that is true then Holloway should've done more. We should have Fulop as our goalie. When he plays well, so do Mcauley, Kisnorbo, Stearman (sometimes) and Mattock. When Hendo everything just collapses. I don't care if he costs £9million. We need him and this Fulop fund is just bulls*hit, we have a millionaire chairman FFS.

MPH Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 i personally think we should do what it takes to get Fulop.. i could imagine a scenerio where we would pay 2m for him plus 500k if we get promoted ( which, considering the tv money on offer would be a drop in the ocean) Yet, i am warming to the other idea that there are other keepers around. Sorensen is now 3rd choice at villa and wants his contract cancelling by them... With Villa reportedly renewing their intrest in Stearman i sense the possibility of some weeling and dealing...
FleckneyFox Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Ollie WILL sign another keeper cuz all we really got now is Hendo with Neilsen buggering off, Logan out on loan so then all we have is Pentney + Cisak so no need to panic he'll bring someone else.
FleckneyFox Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 comment by Jon Barber - BBC Radio Leicesterposted 2 Hours Ago Hi All, Ian had placed a bid of around £1M for Fulop, but Sunderland wanted a lot more - somewhere between £2-3M. I spoke to him again this morning, and he was talking more about looking at signing a couple of wingers, and maybe 1 defender and 1 more striker. I wonder ... If Fulop doesn't get sold to another club in the window, whether he will be allowed to rejoin us on loan until the end of the season? Barber on 606. at least he's useful for something. Ollie should really go in at 2 mil or see if they'd take just under
Asha Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I still think for 2 mil or just over he would still be worth buying. £3 million is a bit pricey though...there's better, cheaper keepers.

Ozwin Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 I'd like updates on what Carlo Nash is up to as someone else has suggested. He might be in his 30's but if his form against us in recent seasons is anything to go by, then he's every bit as good as anything outside of the Premiershit. That was me I also like his name and he always played well against us.
