Simon Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 It sounds like a shambles really.Fulop's air of command in the box is clearly missed but Holloways continued insistence on playing people out of position means we start with built-in weaknesses and to try to compensate for that by continuously switching the team about is never going to help. You might make the odd personnel change in a match for particular reasons but it sounds like Holloway has a reshuffle and deals the cards all over again. He's already registered his lack of belief in people through some of his media comments and these constant reshuffles only pass the same message. A manager has to reflect confidence in people even if you don't necessarily believe it. Clearly Howard's arrival has given us a worthwehile target up front but, apart from corners we have seriously missed the wingers who might supply Howard with some ammunition - yet Hayes still sits on the bench. Neither Hume or Fryatt are crossers of the ball and it sounds as if the full-backs have far too much on their plate to get much chance to go forward. We are clearly still giving the ball away but one reason is almost certainly the fact that the midfield appears to be getting completely overrun. I expect King will be introduced very early on in the second half. And Hayes. Lets drop the bullshit and go: Hayles Howard Hayes Weso King Hume Problem is, that's a very young inexperienced midfield and I'm not sure those two are up to it. We can live in hope though...

Players are being told different things by different Managers, some Managers are telling Players that they are wanted at the club and will be involed with the managers plans other managers we've had are telling players they are not wanted and will never play for the club again. - Low Morale - Being played out of position.

MPH Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 No I would NEVER turn my back on City... I am just fed up of this constant dross for FIVE YEARS.. It is getting beyond a joke for a club of our size i do see your point and my 'stay with it' was meant as a ' dont get on holloways back just yet' kind of thing. i think we have had dross for 5 years indeed, and what most of us have to compare it to is the Well banded about Martin O'Neill era. Frankly, we were spoiled when we had him. I'm not saying we should be satified with the last few seasons its just people now expect us ti be hanging around the edge of european competitions and league cup finals again. That kind of thing is a LONG way off... Completly overhauling the team is what took O'Neill 14 games to get his first win and it could well take just as long to be getting the team sorted especially after the the way the team has been thrown around this season..

I know we've won games so far but still give Holloway time. The football is frustratting at the minute I know. Just give it time. This is true. However the MON era was and will be a one off. A combination of a very good manager with some quality unknown hungry players made us successful. I hammered ONeil hence i will not resort to hammering ollie...BUT things dont look good do they??? Jay Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 it's obvious where our problems lie Holloway is no fool and is trying to sort this out but we are only 5 days into the transfer market we signed 16 players in the summer and not one of them is in the team today says loads for where the problems started and finished!! as for Henderson after his performance in the first half at forest I decided then that if he ever played for Leicester again it would have been to many times he is terrible and breads discontent and confusion in the players infront of him!! we need a keeper any keeper because with Henderson in goal it's giving the opposition a goal a game start where as Fulop saved you at least a goal a game a keeper, another winger a midfielder are a must in the next week or so because the players Holloway can pick from are simply not good enough and you can't blame him for that

I've neber known a manager do such a thing Tbh I reckon Ollie's biten off far more than he can chew by taking the job here and if he can't get these players (lets face it that'll be all of them because I can't see any of them leaving during this transfer window) motivated then I know this is the last option we should be looking at and one most fans wouldn't want but maybe relagation would be our best option as we can fully strip down to the bare minimum and rebuild.
