I know we've won games so far but still give Holloway time. The football is frustratting at the minute I know. Just give it time.

Saying that we probably wont beat Cov anyway. Especially when law of averages says that Poventry are due at least a point from us next week, considering they've never gained one in four visits to The Walkers

Jonezy Posted 5 January 2008 Posted 5 January 2008 I dont want Ollie sacked, but it seems strange, that we are shuffling positions and tactics around so much during the games. Why dont he stick with players playing in position, and just play what we got. Give Hayes and King some games until we get some players in. This shuffling mess doesn't help and our defense has completely lost any confidence that they might have had.....

Henderson seems utterly incapable of organising the back four. He was poor at OPR and it wouldn't surprise me if his incompetence is in part to blame for us being two down today.

Fulop's air of command in the box is clearly missed but Holloways continued insistence on playing people out of position means we start with built-in weaknesses and to try to compensate for that by continuously switching the team about is never going to help. You might make the odd personnel change in a match for particular reasons but it sounds like Holloway has a reshuffle and deals the cards all over again. He's already registered his lack of belief in people through some of his media comments and these constant reshuffles only pass the same message. A manager has to reflect confidence in people even if you don't necessarily believe it. Clearly Howard's arrival has given us a worthwehile target up front but, apart from corners we have seriously missed the wingers who might supply Howard with some ammunition - yet Hayes still sits on the bench. Neither Hume or Fryatt are crossers of the ball and it sounds as if the full-backs have far too much on their plate to get much chance to go forward. We are clearly still giving the ball away but one reason is almost certainly the fact that the midfield appears to be getting completely overrun. I expect King will be introduced very early on in the second half.

But what I hate the most are the glimmers of hope, the shreds of decency we get tossed once in a blue moon. And then Normal Service resumes. At least my hangover from last night prevented me from driving this morning so I never wasted a trip to Southampton. I think I'll have a curry and go to bed.
