Sods Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Norwich is a hard place to go but if we play like we did yesterday then we will take all 3 points.Stick with an unchanged team and get them working well together I reckon I'd settle for a draw. Same. But a draw in which we have the intent to go for a win. And play some good football. I wouldn't mind drawing so much if we wern't so pleased about it or actually played for a draw. Looking forward to this. Going to cost no end but never been to Naaaarwich so another ticked off the list.
WetFlannel Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 How on earth can we settle for a bloody draw when we are in 19th place, against a team who are only 1 point above us!
maddog Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Play exactly the same team apart from N Gotty n Chambers, been solid all season and not made any errors from what i have seen. Exactly same bench but N Gotty swap Kisnorbo, Chambers swap Stearman. Sorry Osbourne, we don't need you now. Alnwick Mattock N Gotty Mc auley Chambers Zsolt Clemence © Oakley Bori Hume Howard Bench: Kisnorbo, Stearman, Wesolowski, Hayles, Fryatt (Hammond if not injured) Can't see a place for Fryatt in the team now, sell him.
Lillehamring Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 there#s not too much between the two sides. remember, our away form has been what's keeping us going... absolutely no reason why we can't get something here, i'm sure IH will expect 3 points, and i imagine the players can't wait for it, prove that last yesterday wasn't a fluke...

Joe. Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 Hoping to get to this one somehow. Alnwick Chambers McAuley Kisnorbo Mattock Bori Clemence Oakley Zsolt Hume Howard.

Daggers Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I feel sorry for Norwich - it's going to be a massacre.
Koke Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I feel sorry for Norwich - it's going to be a massacre. Don't jinx us now.
Thracian Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I hope Holloway's not thinking in terms of "settling for a draw" or simply "getting something". What's the point in gathering an attack-capable side and then compromising? If you look at Saturday as being our "brave new dawn" we started by needing to win anything over a point a game to be reasonably sure of staying up. We took three points by doing something we've rarely done for years - getting the ball, keeping the ball and taking the game to the opposition and that put us ahead of our points schedule from the off. Norwich becomes effectively a bonus game so why not drive even further ahead o schedule. Norwich is not any more "difficult" than anywhere else. It has seemed difficult because going away with a side that was never going to score many goals anyway would always have been difficult. It was difficult enough at Cambridge pre-season. Let's see how hard it is when we're asking some questions of our own. The only "get something" I want is another win and another statement that says things have changed at Leicester at that, from now on, the opposition can start to worry about us.
Bedford Fox Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I am honestly very confident about this one. 3 points for Leicester!
Koke Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Didn't quite realize that Kisnorbo is suspended for this game. He got his fifth yellow card on Saturday.

Phube Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 You don't do away. I have twice in my life!!! It could have been a glorius 3rd!!!

If we are going to reach that magic 6th place somehow this season we are going to need to win these games and go for it. In the next few games we need to beat Blackpool away, Norwich away, Watford away According to my predictions on the predictor If we win 4 draw 1 of the next 5 games we will be in 12th and 6 points off the play offs. 6 points isn't a lot to make up you know As long as it's mathematically possible i will always have the slight playoff hope.

To be fair, i don't think that is Holloways mentallity, he has said he wants to win the next eight games, whether that is achievable or not is another matter.
Joe. Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I reckon after Saturday we'll be going all out to win this one. Confidence should be great and I think the players will take it to Norwich and come out with the result we need. Besides, Norwich are only a place above us and have hardly been great this season. Ollie will fancy his chances with our new look side.
Father Ted Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Kisnorbo is suspended isn't he? And get fooking Stearman out of the team and get Chambers back in there. Reckon we'll have a new left back starting also. If he is suspended then I would have Stearman at centre back and Chambers at right back or just a simple swap with N'gotty at centre-back. Though what is the point of changing a winning side
lildave3 Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 I predict a few goals. Chedwyn Evans seems on good form for them, and I think they may just test our defence.
SamL Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 I predict a few goals. Chedwyn Evans seems on good form for them, and I think they may just test our defence. As long as it's not 3-1 to them again
Zingari Posted 15 January 2008 Posted 15 January 2008 really hope i'm wrong, but i think norwich are going to p*ss on our fireworks sat'dy ; got this horrible feeling we flattered to deceive a little against cov

I don't think you can expect the new signings to come in and gel for just a one-off game, then fall apart after that, even if it was against a team we do have a fairly good record against. I'm optimistic for a change. If Ollie sticks to roughly the same team, there's 3 points to be had on Saturday!
