Personally, I've noticed having troops is an incentive for the big boys to attack as it awards 'offensive points' per kill. I'm now focussing on simply building towards a second village on server 2.

I'm now focussing on simply building towards a second village on server 2. wise advice... cant take anything off of you if its all spent. on server 2 i now have nearly all 7's for my fields and not only will it stop them attacking you because they get nothing but it will help with the fact your fields are well and truly blooming by the time you DO need an army.

Rincewind Posted 19 March 2008 Posted 19 March 2008 I maybe looking for an alliance on two. Short story I may have upset our leader on GND. At 3am this morning I sent 6 scouts to various villages. When I got up this morning I had a message from the leader say I had scouted a GND member and this was out of order. I sent a message to the perso n involved apologising saying i must have put in the wrong coordinates because i was a little tired after stopping up and he accepted it. I've found out in the last hour or so that the message was sent to all our alliance members which in wffect makes me look foolish. So I put a 'in my defense post on the messageboard as well as sending a simalar one to all in the alliance. The one who told me it appears fell out with the leader and told him he shouldn't have sent it in a bullitin. He is in the process of quitting. Now I could be thrown out or I could quit. Not sure yet. I said in my post he could have told me in apersonal message. I mean why would I attack anyone in an alliance with my small army? They would return with more. This chap who left says hes going to carry on on his own but I said if he was to join squirty I would follow. His name is snowmandx and is an experienced player.

I lost me man and got nothing but a bollocking from Gar for breaking the rules. Sorry twas done with the best intentions. I aint seen a pillory in the village but I suspect ya'll think of summat.

I thought i'd sent a message to all members but must have done it wrong cos tried it with one and came up with invalid name. on one I have some excess clay at the moment but will need it when the others catch up
