Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Looks as though he's off to Watford as part of the deal that takes Marlon King to Fulham. Nothing official. Didn't quite work out for him here which is a shame but he does look incredibly lazy, however less than match-fit he was.

Never really got fit did he and always looked a bit lazy but his finishing was top notch apart from the one he toe poked against Ipswich. Watford are getting a pretty good deal i'd say providing John can stay fit.

Jonezy Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Should have won us the game at Wolves..... We got DJ, Hume and Fryatt though, so not at lot lost and he seems to have the Weso syndrome as well.....

Another inconsequential temp who'll be largely forgotten by the end of the month.
Master Fox Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 I quite liked him. He'll do well at Watford. Our loss, but what annoys me is the usual rubbish Leicester fan mentality think people like Hume and Fryatt are better players.
Mort Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 He'll do well at Watford. Our loss, but what annoys me is the usual rubbish Leicester fan mentality think people like Hume and Fryatt are better players. Agreed, the gulf between the likes of Fryatt and John is clear... both DJ and Howard are very capable forwards (when fit) and Hume will graft (which will sometimes pay off and sometimes not), but after years of being "patient" Fryatt has still yet to deliver anything suggesting he's anything more than a competent League One striker. Never worked out for John here and Watford is probably the sort of place where he should do well... meanwhile we have two strikers with the potential to be very strong at this level (Howard and DJ) and one Hume who's also a perfectly capable forward at this level (by a long way our most prolific scorer, for all his faults), after that you have Hayles (who biggest impact I assume is off the pitch these days) and then your left with Fryatt, Hammond and some of the kids.
Daggers Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 I quite liked him. He'll do well at Watford. Our loss, but what annoys me is the usual rubbish Leicester fan mentality think people like Hume and Fryatt are better players. Hume has contributed more to this club than CJ has potential. He may be a "better player" but he's done next to piss all for us. Glad he's gone. Now we need to flog Fryatt & Hammond and replace them with someone who can score and run.
Scow Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 It's a shame he never had the chance to play with Howard, especially now it looks like we're finally on the way to sorting the midfield out. I think he needed a run of games to show his true worth.
Bert Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Who wants a bet his first Watford goal is on February the 12th?
Ric Flair Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Got the talent, just didn't want to put the application in at Leicester. If Watford sort him out then they've got twice the player Marlon King is and some wedge to go with it.
dandannieldanok Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Good riddance and good luck Watford with him.
jonw88 Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Where did you find this information about him going to Watford? Has he actually completed his loan with us yet?
Fox in a Box Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 and Im so glad we didnt go for FOWLER either http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7193857.stm
Fox You Forest Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 But what annoys me is the usual rubbish Leicester fan mentality think people like Hume and Fryatt are better players. So what your saying is that anbody who does'nt share your opinion is an idiot. If so feel free to call me an idiot.
Master Fox Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 So what your saying is that anbody who does'nt share your opinion is an idiot. If so feel free to call me an idiot. That's right. Idiot.
Simi Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 I still have a feeling he'll go and have a good run in this division. But he certainly wasn't up to here at all, whether it lack of motivation or whatever, we're better off without him I think. Can't wait for people to come out with "why did we let him go" when he scores against us.
WetFlannel Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 We currently have a few good strikers so i don't think it will be a major loss... Was a very promising talent at Fulham and I still think he will go far with his career
Ozwin Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 People forget he's still young. He's got years ahead of him.
Daggers Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 People forget he's still young. He's got years ahead of him. He's no Elvis Hammond
Staf Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Didnt really like him here to be honest to lazy in my opinion will be interesting to see how much they sign him for at the end of the season i think he is worth about a million
Blue Bob Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 Shame, I had hoped he would be a good player for us. Dont think he was really fit when he came here and then got an injury while playing for us that didnt help his loan spell. I am sure he will do well for Watford when he has settled in and is fit. Good luck
LcFc D3C Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 can i just say why would king want to leave watford when fulham have a chance of relegation?
Bryn Posted 17 January 2008 Posted 17 January 2008 can i just say why would king want to leave watford when fulham have a chance of relegation? Cause he's a money grabbing limp dick?
