Durnerz Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 4-5-1 on the defensive, 4-3-3 in attack. Typical Capello system, will be interesting to see how it works out.

Maybes Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 David Bentley is class. I have decided. New Beckham.
Lillehamring Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 david james ok, his form is good, but what's the point in a friendly, have to start exposing likely successors to international footy...
Lillehamring Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 what's with the blue shit on the shirt, looks awful...
James. Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 david james ok, his form is good, but what's the point in a friendly, have to start exposing likely successors to international footy... The bit in bold is the crucial part really. This team has been picked on form. Jenas, Bentley, Upson amongst others would not normally get in the starting 11 even considering the injuries. I like what he's done, giving players who are performing the best the chance to stake their claim. It will throw up some surprises but it's a great basis to pick a team, particularly when it's your first game in charge.
MC Prussian Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 Barnettaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... Again. Close.
Durnerz Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Wes Brown's playing like an absolute plank right now.
James. Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Did I really just hear people boo Bentley's cross? And now they're singing "There's only one David Beckham". WANKERS.
MC Prussian Posted 6 February 2008 Author Posted 6 February 2008 Hehehe... I start to love this game. Double header.
Simi Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Did I really just hear people boo Bentley's cross? And now they're singing "There's only one David Beckham". WANKERS. Proper England support that James! 12th man! Behind the lads. Oh wait shit. I think I've just seen at least 7 people leave there seats. £7 fish and chips?
Phube Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 At least Arsénal have a player on the pitch... shame it's for Switzerland!!!

Phube Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 I wish I could give the ball away... and get paid £100,000 a week!!!

Yeah I was debating on another thread whether James has another tournament in him. He'll be 40 so it'll depend a lot on his form at that time. Seaman did it and James is a model professional so I don't see why not... I do agree in part though that at some point we really need to be giving a younger keeper some valuable experience. Question is who? Part of the problem is that none of the them are really standing out... another reason to play James I suppose.
Matt Posted 6 February 2008 Posted 6 February 2008 Did I just hear some fans chanting "One David Beckham! Theres only one David Beckham"? or were they chanting something else?
