Watford Post Match whatever!

I was being facetious. But either way, other sides also face opposition who put them under pressure, and still manage to pass. Our players do have the ability to pass. And I don't even think that them not doing so is a tactical thing. I think its a confidence issue. They have lost the confidence in their own ability collectively, and so take the easy option and lump it to the big man.

I don't even know the meaning of that :cry:lol

I wasn't trying to sound a pr*ck, jsut a sarcastic fooker :P

Yeh they probably are lacking confidence, the players are fears bitch.

After tonight maybe Dowie could be no worst. Could do really well here and with abit of money.

Getting Ollie was a mistake and we all make mistake in life and takes a bigger man to put his hands up and say i was wrong.

I'm still behind Milan 100 %, he wants what we all wants and has put a good amount of money to the club.

I just hope Milan gets rid of Ollie and brings in Davies.

How is having a fourth manager of the season going to help?

The point is that the defeat could have been more comprehensive, if I'm not mistaken.

Do they get 4 points if its 2-0................. :S

Just got back from the game after I rather comically led JTB on a Northbound train from Watford Junction. Woops. Well, the chips in Hemel Hampstead were good anyhow. I've had a good night out tonight but I'm just horribly horribly frustrated with the whole situation.

First of all, today was better, much better than Saturday. But, we still totally failed to create chances. That was Ollie's 1st 11 on the pitch. The players he has signed and the best of the rest. Not good enough. I could spend ages picking out individual performances but I won't. They key problems for me were

1 - Players going AWOL from their positions, particularly in the middle

2 - A complete lack of vision to pass to players in space

3 - A lack of communication between the midfielders and the strikers.

4 - <insert extra moanings here>

Some people have mentioned getting rid of Ollie but I just think that is a futile idea. The only manager who would realistically come here now is Dowie, and what could he possibly achieve over Ollie once you have factored in the negativaty the sacking would have on the squad? He needs to stay at least until Christmas this year, regardless of what happens. Whether or not Mandy has that kind of patience remains to be seen.

Ollie has my vote, not because I am blindly backing him but because I think it is the only logical choice for the long term stability of the club.

My personal opinion is that the writing is on the wall for us. Judging on the past 3 games I just cannot see where the next win is coming from. We are more or less relying on the teams below us to do very, very badly indeed if we are to stay up. I am under no false pretences of the situation we are in.

Could and i mean COULD, save us.

Yeah because the players really need to be getting to know yet another new set of backroom staff and a new boss. Aswell as new tactics, new style of play amongst others.

As could, and probably will, keeping Holloway. So bringing in a new manager would simply be causing more upheaval for no tangible improvement.

I've just come back from the match and I haven't yet read all the other posts.

My mates were already kinda sceptical about going to Vicarage Road and getting something out of it, and when the stadium speaker announced Ollie's glorious 4-5-1 formation, one could've actually guessed that we'd lose. But not exactly in what fashion that would take place.

Still, as faithful as we loyal LCFC supporters are, we took our seats and were awaiting a change compared to the woeful display on Saturday. We weren't disappointed, as the side clearly showed an improved determination from the start and it looked like they really wanted to prove it to everyone this time.

It was an even game right up until the dismissal of the Watford player in the 40th minute. From there on, it got worse and worse. First of all, conceeding a goal with a one-man advantage is a deadly blow, especially that close to half-time. I thought "Hell yeah, now they're gonna go for it and teach them Hornets a lesson". So did hundreds of other fellas in the away end.

We were bitterly disappointed. Now, I don't feel angry at all - that feeling has long subsided. However, the lack of professionalism shown by the squad is deeply concerning. Just at the time when they could've actually proved us all wrong, they did the exact opposite. A terrible mistake at the end of the first half cost us the game.

Alnwick was about the only player that deserves credit. I don't blame him for the goal - the guys in front of him didn't mark their opponents closely enough. Ben made a couple of brilliant saves - and that even in the second half. Which says a LOT about our defense and where their heads are. You can always be sure that someone in the back four ****s it up - on purpose or simply out of inability, I can't tell.

Even in the second half, we showed tenacity. But here, it all became too apparent. Our midfield was a total disgrace. Oakley was hardly ever seen and continued with where he had left four days ago. Our so-called "Hungarian sensations" were not so sensational, but rather lost their balls too often on numerous occasions or got stuck in traffic with the Watford wingbacks. Clemence should get sacked instantly, what it is that keeps him at this club, I have no fooking clue. His distribution was simply terrible. Terrible! Everything had to go through the middle and he hardly ever found the wingers. It was frustrating - it was the fans who had to show him the proper way! For someone who's supposed to be team leader, he was not worth the captain's armband. But then again, the passing overall was shocking. You can't create danger up front when your passes don't go forward fast enough. Instead, they decided to play around the back. Very creative. Also very boring and ineffective.

Howard and hoof balls - it didn't work. Once more. If I remember correctly, I didn't see one single shot on target from him. And this is supposed to be our marksman. Have a laugh.

Towards the end, in the last 10 minutes or so, it was evident that team morale had hit a new all-time low: Not one of our four strikers could actually be bothered to run after balls or position themselves correctly. Heads were hanging low, they were rather trotting than moving. Poor, poor by all standards.

DJ had no chance against the solid Watford defense and his collaboration with Howard was... simply non-existing. It's like they're living on two different planets.

As for Holloway:

Three subs and all of them at the wrong time of the game. Why play Chambers from the start again? Hayles - wtf does it make a difference bringing him on with such little time to go? He should've replaced Howard or Campbell way earlier. Hume wasn't that bad and ran around a lot.But that's about everything he did. Got lost in a promising, yet useless dribbling towards the end and why the heck he didn't take that one free-kick is once more a question only Ollie can answer.

Speaking of the man: Again, no passion, no presence. You have no fooking clue what you're doing! And you brought in players that were supposed to be top-notch Championship level creme-de-la-creme. HA! All they're after is a big, fat paycheck at the end of the month, nothing else. But as long as there are managers out there giving them the cake and the icing, nothing will change.

Yes, we still have the best defensive record. But that counts for nothing when you lose in such an abysmal fashion. I can count the scoring chances we had on one hand - ON ONE HAND!!! If you can't score against ten men within 50+ minutes, you're DOOMED!!! DOOMED!!!

Oh, and the one linesman was probably a fan of Elton John - I can't explain otherwise why he constantly decided against us, especially when it came to offside positions. But one could also blame that one our ineffective midfield. Back to full-circle.

As for Vicarage Road - shit ground, no atmosphere. The Watford fans needed drums to create noise and the side stands were piss-poor when it came to support. Top of the league - hell yeah!

I feel sorry for all those Leicester City fans that have to endure this year in, year out. Since 2003.

Some of our fellas in the upper ranks of the stand starting demolishing some seats - you could tell by the noise breaking plastic makes. Frustration was pretty much right next door. That and resignation, as hundreds of other LCFC fans quietly made their way home.

We can all argue about the manager's situation all night long, but the fact of the matter is this, the players on the pitch need to improve and fast. 16 points are needed and fast.

16 points.

Then I'll sleep more easily at night.

I'm too tired to write coherent arguments about my opinions so I'll just state what they are.

Holloway - I feel sorry for him, his players are really letting him down. Should be given more time.

Performance - Abject; no idea in the final third.

McAuley & Clemence - Rubbish.

Dropping Hume - Good decision, it might give him a kick up the arse.

Atmosphere - Decent.

I didn't like how some of our fans treated Al Bangura and quite a few seats were smashed and ripped out. Pathetic.

I dont get it, we've got the ball 20 yards from goal and we try a half cross half chip?

What's wrong with putting our foot through the ball?

It must've been obvious they'd sit 9/10 men behind the ball to keep that lead so surely we needed to strike it from range. Especially as they backed off till we were 18-20 yards out- yet we still tried to walk it inot the net.

I'm glad we're playing passing football - but it wasn't difficult with watford sitting a million miles away.

Defending in the first half was woeful sometimes - we lost the ball in our final third more times than is comfortable - althouhg props to alnwick he had a decent game bar the calamity of a punch that gave them thier goal [note: shouldn't have been a freekick in the first place imo?]. Oh and steaman. Just. Please. Cross the ball instead of passing it backwards time after time. Not to mention his control from the throw-in one-two and that delightful pass to Holloway instead of Hume.

Lets not go into how afraid our players are of taking someone on in the final third. No pace or urgency about anything - bar Hume.

Ahh almost forgot our throw ins. My dad said "It's like watching subuteo". Need i say more?

Best Moment? The two golden oldies swearing at the coaches on the way back xD

Why does Stearman always look like he's taking a foul throw?

Yeah, was no need, utterly pointless.

I think his legs get all in a tangle like when he tries to cross it and the ball ends up rolling backwards :S

Oh did anyone see [Oakley's?] awesome dummey/trip over the ball. It was lie watching Brazil i tell you!

It was Clemence.

He was shite today, another under-performer who is letting everybody down considerably.

With you on that. Bangura nearly had his life ruined and doesnt need to be reminded of it! And as for smashing up the seats - whats the point??? Just gonna give us a bad reputation and make the stewards more alert and on our case next season.

For me Clemence never shows the 'get up and go' attitude that is needed in the centre of the park. Far too lazy, too casual and ultimately too laid back. He needs to put himself about a bit and get stuck in and make it look as if he's half interested.

I'd make someone else captain first before dropping him entirely. Then judge the reaction to that.

I am angry. I am so angry, I can't be bothered to read about how pissed off everyone else is.

Grr.

Did you manage to get to the loo in the end? That queue in front of the ladies' room was massive.
