AyewJoking Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 If he's half as good as his brother Trevor, he'll be a top player for us.
Rodders Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Nice to know, it was not a silly question then... I thought we needed more a right winger than a left winger. We have Laczko, Mattock and Bori for the left..... But Bori plays on the right, and Mattock plays at left back....
Rodders Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Not sure if it's already been mentioned but isn't there a FIFA directive in place that says a player can not play for 3 teams in one season? If so then Scott has already played for QPR & Chelsea this season, hope i am wrong! Section 3 of Article 5 says: "Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season" So it's ok - no problems.
Guest shearfox Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 But Bori plays on the right, and Mattock plays at left back.... Bori is thought to be capable of playing on the left and so can Mattock but it would be nice to have a player with far more experience within that position
ArgyleRoss Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 He can play left wing, right wing or up front. thats one of his goals for us last season. His pace is frightening. I'm just glad he isn't going to play against us if you do sign him because he is a cracking player, assuming you dont sign him before the weekend!!
Lichfieldfox. Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 Or this montage of 12 from around the world - includes Sinclair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AGIB1i7l0uc&NR=1
morris1234 Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 I WANT THIS GUY!!!!!!!!! i tell you what if we get him here i'll love it and then maybe have a better chance of getting him permo he reminds you of henry the way he makes defenders basically well.............shit themselves and start to run the other way!
stevie909 Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 surely he can't come here? (just read this on 606, sorry if its already been said) fifa rules say a player can only belong to three clubs in one season (loans included) howvere they can only play in official matches for two. seeing as he has played for chelsea and qpr this season, surely that renders him ineligible? but if he is allowed to come, GREAT signing.

Wouldn't have thought it was an issue as colins john played for fulham and has been on loan here and is now with watford.
sham Posted 7 February 2008 Posted 7 February 2008 ivory coast are losing 4-1 to egypt. looks like drogba is on his way back to chelsea and seeing as ghana lost therefore essien going back too does that scott sinclair will be available for us? Hopefully....
Darkzzz_ Posted 8 February 2008 Posted 8 February 2008 We want this guy!! We need this guy!!! But....... Do you think he will want to come here?? Ollie will obviously be a big factor in this!! It will be a massive signing if he pulls it off.... I cant see him getting in that chelsea side so come on scott it makes sense!!! Be somewhere where you can make a real name for yourself and where we will love you!!! (GAY) This has Muzzy Izzet part two written all over it.... Although they are totally different players they both only made the fringes of first time football at stamford bridge!!

Muzzy was pretty much unheard of and I don't think ever played for Chelsea in the league when we signed him - this guy is better known as he has been on loan at other clubs none of whom seem to have put much effort into trying to sign him
Ric Flair Posted 8 February 2008 Posted 8 February 2008 plus there's no way we could get him permanently If we offered them £3 million for him they'd snap our hands off.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 February 2008 Posted 8 February 2008 If we offered them £3 million for him they'd snap our hands off. I disagree with that.
Ric Flair Posted 8 February 2008 Posted 8 February 2008 I disagree with that. I don't think they rate him that highly. They know he's a decent talent (very good IMO) but at a team that hasn't actually got as big a squad as some big Premiership teams with youngsters breaking through, if they thought he was that good they'd have given him a few more games. They've been quite stretched since their African players went away and he's not been on the bench for them. He wasn't involved with any of their recent Carling Cup matches either. Now, I appreciate that doesn't mean they'd look to sell him. But at 19, if you're going to break in to Chelsea's first team you need to already be getting the odd game for them and not 2 token cup games a season. You also perhaps need to go out on loan to another Premiership club if you can't force in to the team yet. Not, seen any Premiership clubs after him. Chances are, he's a player that will develop in to a Premiership player in the next few years, but to be good enough to play regularly for Chelsea? I bet the boys in blue have their doubts and a sizeable offer for him may well tempt them even if they don't need the money. A few years down the line if he's not broken through and is not over-hyped, then they'd get nowhere near that sort of cash. Arsenal and Man Utd often cash in on their 'decent' youngsters, some players that have gone on to be very good Premiership players (Bentley £500,000, James Harper & Steve Sidwell) but at the time their clubs didn't think or couldn't be arsed to put the work in to get them to that level.

Fair enough. I still disagree and can't be arsed to write reams about why. F**king work. I hate it.

Maybe so but they wouldn't sell him for 3mil, not for a couple of years yet anyway.
Ric Flair Posted 8 February 2008 Posted 8 February 2008 Maybe so but they wouldn't sell him for 3mil, not for a couple of years yet anyway. I like how we were quoted as having to come up with several million to have a chance of signing Ryan Smith from Arsenal because Wenger rated him so highly and then 6 months later he went to Derby for £300,000. Sinclair appears to have more end product so I doubt that will happen with him, but I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that he may be available for a permanent transfer within the next season or so.
