AyewJoking Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton A WBA H Hull H Scúnthorpe A Sheff Utd H Colchester A Barnsley H Sheff Wed A Stoke I know we're crap at home but we must win all our remaining home games. I'll take defeat for granted in all our remaining away games, any points at all will be a bonus (with the possible exception of barnsley). What do you reckon?

Well, looking at the list of home games remaining, you would expect us to win those games. The away games look a little tougher but not to sound cliched, anyone can beat anyone in this league on any given day. But judging on our season anything can happen in any of those games. So to answer your question...who the hell knows! We have been a Jekyll and Hyde team all season. Expect anything to happen!

Yeah pretty much my thoughts however Hull are a good side, not to say we are going to beat the others or not.
Babylon Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 We need maximum points from these or we are down... or as good as. Scúnthorpe Colchester Sheff Wed
Manwell Pablo Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 Three wins at home against Colchester S****horpe and Wednesday are the games we must be looking to win, that will take us to 50 points. Phil Brown has got Hull playing well, and they're now up into a play off place, I'd be suprised if we beat them. If we can beat Sheff u, Southampton or Barnsley away it will really take the pressure off somewhat.
Thracian Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton (draw) A WBA (lose) H Hull (draw) H Scúnthorpe (win) A Sheff Utd (lose) H Colchester (win) A Barnsley (draw) H Sheff Wed (draw) A Stoke (lose) Ten points from the nine games. Can't see it being enough. We really HAVE to commit ourselves to scoring some goals both at home and away. Victories are vital. Trouble is most of our opponents are in important situations themselves with everything to play for. There are precious few potential mid-table gimmees. The more you think about it the more precarious our situation seems.

Sadly the "three wins" won't happen like that. We just never do the obvious or make it easy for ourselves.

Hopefully stoke will be in the playoffs already and could rest players, also Barnsly may have an FA cup final to look forward to as they just got drawn against Cardiff.

If we win them all then the play-offs should be back in contention - if not automatic promotion.
Bernie's Love Child Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton Lose A WBA Lose H Hull Draw H Scúnthorpe win A Sheff Utd lose H Colchester draw A Barnsley draw H Sheff Wed win A Stoke draw 10 points - might JUST be enough

Mark Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton A WBA H Hull H Scúnthorpe A Sheff Utd H Colchester A Barnsley H Sheff Wed A Stoke I know we're crap at home but we must win all our remaining home games. I'll take defeat for granted in all our remaining away games, any points at all will be a bonus (with the possible exception of barnsley). What do you reckon? We'll lose at least 2 of the 4 home games 0-1 like we always do, probably to Colchester and S****horpe and thus bringing them back into contention, so it's an absolute must we pick up points away, starting on Tuesday else it's curtains for us & Ollie.
cecchini Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton win 1-0 A WBA lose 0-2 H Hull win 2 -0 H Scúnthorpe win 1-0 A Sheff Utd win 1-0 H Colchester win 1-0 A Barnsley lose 0-2 H Sheff Wed win 2-0 A Stoke draw There you see 19 points - we'll be fine

Fox You Forest Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 If we win them all then the play-offs should be back in contention - if not automatic promotion. Is Maddog your postman?
Flynny Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton (Win) A WBA (lose) H Hull (lose) H Scúnthorpe (win) A Sheff Utd (draw) H Colchester (win) A Barnsley (win) H Sheff Wed (draw) A Stoke (win) Possibly a mite over-optimistic. I make that 17 points which'd put us on what, 58?
FleckneyFox Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton (Draw) A WBA (Lose) H Hull (Draw) H Scúnthorpe (Win) A Sheff Utd (Draw) H Colchester (Win) A Barnsley (Draw) H Sheff Wed (Draw) A Stoke (Lose) 11 points we'll be ok thats actually a little pessimistic as ive only got us down for 2 wins.
demon_dog Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 My view is; Cardiff (A) Loss -- Got that one wrong +3pts Preston (H) Win -- Wrong again 0 pts Bristol City (H) Draw (hopeful) -- Right at last +1 pt Southampton (A) Loss WBA (A) Loss Hull (H) Draw S****horpe (H) Win Sheff Utd (A) Draw Colchester (H) Win Barnsley (A) Draw Sheff Wed (H) Win Stoke (A) Loss

Important points those which I'd not taken into consideration. Teams approaching a cup final often suffer a dip in form and once the play-offs have been reached there might well be a certain relaxing of commitment. Trouble is neither situation is decided yet.
Staf Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton - Loss A WBA - Loss H Hull - Draw H Scúnthorpe - Win A Sheff Utd - Loss H Colchester - Draw A Barnsley - Loss H Sheff Wed - Win A Stoke - Loss

Uncle Albert Posted 10 March 2008 Posted 10 March 2008 A Southampton - Win A WBA - Loss H Hull - Loss H Scúnthorpe - Draw A Sheff Utd - Loss H Colchester - Win A Barnsley - Win H Sheff Wed - Loss A Stoke - Loss 10 points, should be enough. I think our poor home form could cost us though.
