FoxesFan100 Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Great game even if its only halfway done, good online play and amazing graphics, i suggests that PS3 owners get it from ASDA for only £20 SERIOUSLY YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED

Legend_in_blue Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 It is impressive. I traded in an old PS3 game and got it for a tenner! Money well spent. Advantages: 1) Graphics look very realistic, especially from the in-car viewpoint - and there's no slowdown at all. 2) Driving from the in-car viewpoint is quality, especially when over/understeering round corners. 3) The online system works well, once you've downloaded the update - which yesterday took some doing. 4) GT TV looks interesting - I wonder what they'll do with that. 5) The best driving game out there - fact. Disadvantages: 1) It's a little easy, especially for GT veterans out there. 2) There's no option to 'do up' your car. There seems to be no tyre manufacturers, alloy manufacturers, no way to tweak the exhaust, body frame, turbos etc. You could argue that the lack of tracks/vehicles doesn't help either but then it isn't the full game. But for £20, you can't complain. Just make sure to turn off all traction control and the racing line, and you'll have a blast. It should tie you over until the end of the year, until you've raised enough credits to buy all the cars - including the Ferrari F1 2007 at cr. 2 000 000!
Ozwin Posted 29 March 2008 Posted 29 March 2008 I don't know anyone that has ever completed GT4 100%. It's the hardcore gamers game.

Manwell Pablo Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Forza Motorsport 2 > Gran Turismo 5. Factaruney. What is this anyway my mate had GT 4 Prolog and it was just a bag of shit tutorial with about 4 arcade races in it.

isaidno Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 I prefer the Toca Race Driver series to Gran Turismo.

hairy Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 There are two racer simulators that are worth having. Forza and TOCA. The only arcade one is Burnout for a bit of carnage. The GT series is poor in my book. I remember when the first one came out on the PS1. You could bounce your way round tracks by not steering at all and still win!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 If anyone wants a racing game Moto Gp 07 is blatantly the best game out so get that!
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Burnout 2 > Any racing game. FACT!!!Sims = boring Arcade = fun Oh as if!!
lildave3 Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Seconded! Gran Turismo 2 was fun. I imagine there's much better games now though.
Samilktray Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 Gran Turismo 2 was fun. I imagine there's much better games now though. Once youve bought your 360, you'll know...
Legend_in_blue Posted 31 March 2008 Posted 31 March 2008 It depends on what racers you're into. Arcade types are all well and good - Motorstorm is pretty decent - but you can't go wrong with GT. GT is the best. Nothing as realistic as that. Fact. TOCA is good - more 'arcady' though. Forza - haven't tried it. I'll try anything once mind. Don't have a 360 tho and me cousin's just packed in.

act smiley Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 GTR2 is the most painfully realistic thing going to be honest - geeky to the point of annoying really, its absurdly hard.
