Hendo 6 - Not really much to do, bit indecisive when coming to collect balls.

Stearman 7 - Defended and attacked well.

Kisnorbo 7 - Won everything in the air.

McAuley 7 - Had a decent game - because Kisnorbo did.

Mattock 7.5 - Was brilliant today, taking players on, defended as well as anyone. Alan Whatsyaname take note.

Bell 7 - A decent debut i thought, took his time to find his feet, but got better as the game wore on.

Hendrie 7.5 - A great goal, some nice touches and good passing.

Oakley 7.5 - Much better today, breaking from midfield, put the ball to good use.

Weso 7 - Was he injured? Was having a decent game as well, not afraid to get stuck in.

Howard 7 - Worked hard, won the ball majority of the times, and knocked it off nicely, would've had a goal had it not been for a tremendous save.

Fryatt 7 - A totally different player when up front, actually looked like he might do something.

Bruno 6 - Made things a bit tighter and put in some vital clearances.

Stearman 8 - Probably our best player, was good going forward, had a good partnership with Bell and solid defensively.

Mattock 7.5 - Had a very good game, good going forward and put some excellent crosses in the box.

Weso 7 - Just what we've been missing - the little pitbull was doing very well in breaking things up, definitely a better option than the ever-useless Clemence.

Oakley 6.5 - Average game, see Weso.

Hendrie 7.5 - Took the goal very well, wound there players up and some nice touches and got the crowd going.

Howard 8 - Great game, the first time he's ever shown us that he CAN actually head a ball, really up for the game.

Fryatt 6 - Just not there, too slow and offside too often.

N'gotty 6 - Average, didn't do much

Laczko N/A - Not enough time

Holloway 6 - Still not convinced and should have taken off Fryatt on the 75-80 minute mark.

Fans 8 - Much better performance in the Kop and great with Jobber although he seemed tired after 30 minutes.

Hendo - 6.5 - Did everything he had to do pretty well, one outstanding take from a very good cross. Seems to have improved since last season.

Stearz - 7.5 - One of the better performers again, loads of running, overlapped Bell plenty of times, and busted his gut for the team. This is the Stearman of old, the one we saw when he forst broke through.

G Mac - 6.5 - Decent game, won most of his headers.

Norbo - 6 - Did okay, but marked down for the 2 or 3 times when he wanted Hendo to collect the ball but he didnt and Norbo didnt know what to do. Just clear it!

Mattock - 7 - Played well like Stearman, took men on, put some decent balls in, supported Hendrie well. We have to of the best young English fullbacks in the country.

Bell - 6.5 - Put a few good crosses in, Fryatt should of scored from one of them, looked a but edgy, but was pretty reliable, played his part, kept the width and ran at their full back.

Oakley - 6.5 - Average game, not as good as i thought he would be for us, gave the ball away a bit but kept running and running.

Weso - 6.5 - Didnt look fit to me, wasn't as energetic as he usually is, but he played his part, our midfield looked comfortable and stable, and that is what we need. I hope he's not injured.

Hendrie - 7.5 - Thank God for this man. What an absolute belter of a finish, and he is the only player in this squad with any genuine quality. Faded in the second half a bit, i think he got a knock, but overall i loved that performance, he's such a livewire, is so passionate, and winds the opposition up brilliantly, we need to sign him up quick.

Howard - 7 - Won loads in the air, had a good header brilliantly saved, on another day, his strike partner and others could have had plenty of goals because of his knock downs into the area. Good game.

Fryatt - 6 - Had two clear cut chances which he missed, shame, it could of got his confidence up. Was offside far too much though, and he needs to get down the gym, hes pushed off the ball by anyone. Get Hume in, i feel him and Howard could work again.

I can't argue with that. As for the 8's for Howard if he put in more effort he'd have done much better, still lazy if you ask me.

A far from convincing performance, but considering the circumstances, a good win nonetheless.

Henderson - 6 - Didn't have a lot to do. Annoyed me with his long kicks out. Why bother when its blowing a gale, play it short!

Stearman - 7 - Comfortable. Did his job well.

Mcauley - 6 - Fairly solid. Good job he wasn't up against much pace today.

Kisnorbo - 6 - Fairly solid also. Ditto re: pace.

Mattock - 7 - Did his job well today, I was impressed. Linked well with Hendrie.

Bell - 7 - I liked him. Willing to take the ball and players on, put some great balls into the area. Pity none fell to Howard instead of Fryatt.

Weso - 6 - Gritty performance. Got some decent tackles in - one crunching tackle made the move that gave us the goal. Some strange passes at times.

Oakley - 6.5 - Did ok. Didn't really notice him much.

Hendrie - 8 - Awesome finish. Showed class. Great, passionate, commited performance. Will be missed next week.

Fryatt - 3 - Terrible. Slow. No pace. Very poor first touch. Missed numerous chances (a) to get on the ball because of his lack of pace/awareness (b) when on the ball lacked the cutting edge required. Get rid in the summer.

Howard - 7 - Led the line well. Performance deserved a goal. But never given the ball in an area from which to score. They all fell to Fryatt. Shame really.

Laczko - 5 - Only given 1 minute of normal time. Did well for the extra 5. Earned us a goal kick during a tense spell at the back.

IH - 7 - System worked today. Balanced. Bell appears to be a good acquisition. The only thing to baffle me was why Fryatt got a full 90. Their number 5 was extremely slow yet this was never capitalised on. DJ would have run him ragged. Fryatt couldn't.

Still, game won. My predictions are still on target. Win the remaining home games. Sorted.

mattock 6 ok. steady and some good crosses but some junk ones as well.

Mccauley 5 in fairness windy condition made life difficult but he was very ordianary today especially 1st half. thank god their attack was poor.

kisnorbo 5 Similar to mccauley. usual poor free kicks.

Stearman 7 good game. gave attacking options and not too troubled defensively.

weso 5 an average perfomance. His 15 mins in the second half were worrying poor. gave the ball away at least 6 or 7 times and misplaced passes. !st half was better though but he patently isn't match fit.

oakley 5 another ok performance which improved towards the end.

hendrie 8 man of the match for me. he is a class above just about every other player we have and capped display with a great goal of real quality.

bell 6 not very good in the first half but really seemed to click in the second. delivered some good crosses and showed some handy trickery.

Howard 6 good selfless performance. held the ball up well and brought others into play.

fryatt 5 Just doesn't have the pace to be a great striker. Really should have scored. general play average.

These might seem harsh to some but honestly we were very ordinary against possibly the most limited side I have ever seen us play in the league.
