Candidcamera Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 Good news - now forget about it. Football wouldnt be what it is if there wasn't controversy.
davieG Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 Good news - now forget about it. Football wouldnt be what it is if there wasn't controversy. But if we forget it there wont be any controversy and football wouldn't be what it is.
DB11 Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 The fact that it has been proved to be the wrong decision thus it was rescinded just makes it all the more frustrating
dandannieldanok Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 We would have probably still lost anyway. I think we could have easily got a point, they may have taken their foot of the pedal but we coped well with 10 men, could have been a lot different with 11.
CupidStunt Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 I find it strange that appeals can be won after the event. i.e the red card incident but what about the fooker that dived?...cant we have that tit red carded for cheating
Jonezy Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 I dont understand why MM doesn't use the press to pinpoint all the wrong decisions going against us. We have to make every single ref in this league so shit scared of making decisions against us, that we gain an advantage in the end. Sue the bastards MM!!
C.J Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 Yeah, too late now isnt it? Anyway, I sent this e-mail to the F.A: "Hello, I support Leicester City. Today you recinded a red card that one of our players was wrongly given on Saturday against Sheffield United. This incident lead to a penalty which was scored. It is the second time this season that this player (Patrick Kisnorbo) has been sent off, a penalty awarded and scored this season. Then rightfully the card recinded in the next few days. In these circumstances I feel that the goal scored from the resulting penalty should be ruled out because in these to incidents neither was a penalty. These two goals will have an affect on out goal difference, and being near the bottom of the league could be crucial to our survival. Whereas the Linesman who wrongly flagged for the penalty on Saturday will just get on with his job without a care for the possible big influence he has had on our season. I look foward to hearing you views, thanks Chris"
Bryn Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 So where's our fucking compensation then? It's an absolute travesty. If any other organisation or person made such persistent and detrimental mistakes there would be repercussions. This is effectively the FA docking us 6 points for the mistakes of two referees in my eyes, not to mention that the illegal goals stand and affect our goal difference. There is no doubt that the course of the league is ruined by poor refereeing decisions and the fact that there's not even heard of that referees are punished is ridiculous.
Thracian Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 We would have probably still lost anyway. Any chance of telling me eight draws for Saturday as well?
The Reverend Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 This really riles me. I dont need to say why, others have said it. It's not 'fair'. It's a farce.
Corky Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 We would have probably still lost anyway. That's not the point. I could take it if we lost to the quality of the opposition, but the fact that the referee and linesman played such a crucial part in the outcome (like at Ipswich) makes me slighty bitter. We shouldn't even need to appeal against something like this, the referee should straight away after the match look at the video and overturn his own mistake. It is a scandal, even the fourth official (according to Holloway) said it wasn't a red card
demon_dog Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 The thing that I would be concerned about is, what if we are relegated, these bad decisions have been part of the process. Relegation will cost the club a few million in lost revenue I would have thought. Let Mandaric sue the bloody ref and his useless assistant for a couple of Million. That would put the shits up the officials, maybe then they would get their act together and make sure they are 100% certain of any decisions they make in the future. I agree with Thracian, bring in the technology to get the right decisions.
philce Posted 8 April 2008 Posted 8 April 2008 I should think the linesman responsible for giving it will more than likely be dumped into League Two if that makes you feel anybetter. Suspend the diving wank*er, give him the same ban that Kis was gonna get. Should stop all this instantly.

He may have done but they refusing to print/show the story it wouldnt surprise me. The current appeals procedure is a joke, something needs to be done ideas of mine below. 1 - Teams that win appeals for red cards compensated with a point. 2 - Linesman/ref deemed to have made mistake suspended without pay for period of time and demoted a league. 3 - If the red card leads to penalty decision as in our case 2 points compensated instead of 1. Of course technology also needs bringing in.

I believe they've rescinded the red card not the penalty. They may have decided it was still a penalty, but he didn't deny a goal-scoring opportunity.
Manwell Pablo Posted 9 April 2008 Posted 9 April 2008 Suspend the diving wank*er, give him the same ban that Kis was gonna get.Should stop all this instantly. Billy sharp didn't actually "dive" though. Did he?
