Rich Fox Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 With such an important game at Stoke and only 1800 fans able to attend fon city surely the answer would be to show the game on a beam back at the walkers. I understand hull city are doing one for there last game away at Ipswich. Maybe our game at stoke is live on sky or maybe our club just cant be bothered.
Simi Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I would guess they're waiting for conformation from Sky. The club is probably thinking "What will we gain from inviting fans into the stadium on the day we may be relegated?"

Possibly becuase there's a risk of angry fans tearing the place up?
Corky Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Possibly becuase there's a risk of angry fans tearing the place up? Hopefully that will occur 50 miles away in Stoke-on-Trent, with people wearing red-and-white shirts, after we survive with a 5-0 win. Well you can dream.

Corky Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 There's dreaming and then there's insanity. We are insane aren't we? We support Leicester City!

I think someone said they'd email the Ticket Office about the possibility of a beam back and they said they were looking into it. Personally, I think it'll be on Sky.
Matt Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Does anyone know when it'll be annouced which game will be shown on Sky? Surely it'll be early part of the week (tommorrow?) so they can advertise it to get people viewing?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Of course it will be on Sky. I personally guarantee it.
Bert Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Think about it People. SKY will more than likely have two games on. They're only going to show games that have something in it worth playing. Team playing for automatic promotion and possibly the championship against a relegation threatened team? It all adds up to me.
Scow Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 They'll be showing two games, and after looking at the fixture list, I can't see any other game that matches the importance of ours.
Brainy Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Blackpool v Watford, 14:00 Bristol City v Preston, 14:00 Cardiff v Barnsley, 14:00 Charlton v Coventry, 14:00 Crystal Palace v Burnley, 14:00 Ipswich v Hull, 14:00 QPR v West Brom, 14:00 S****horpe v Colchester, 14:00 Sheff Wed v Norwich, 14:00 Southampton v Sheff Utd, 14:00 Stoke v Leicester, 14:00 Wolverhampton v Plymouth, 14:00 Only possible ones methinks.
Simi Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 This'll provide the club with the perfect scapegoat for the ticket fiasco.

Gotta be ours and the saints game doesnt it? All 4 teams in those 2 games are playing for something!!
Scow Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Gotta be ours and the saints game doesnt it? All 4 teams in those 2 games are playing for something!! Sheffield United's play-off chances are slim whereas our game is likely to be defining either way.

It depends how much the club care about the fans, I guess? Personally, I don't think they give a flying fook. Why would the club want to go to the bother of organising the beam back, arranging security, etc etc? I'm sure there were numerous folks at the club who, after yesterday, breathed a huge sigh of relief that they'd got shot of all those difficult, ungrateful fans for another season, I hope I'm proved wrong - I really do. However, if they couldn't get their act together over requesting the full ticket allocation for the Stoke game, I can't see them organising this.
filbertboy Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Gotta be ours and the saints game doesnt it? All 4 teams in those 2 games are playing for something!! I agree with syston fox its got to be us and and the saints !!
Finchy Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 It has to be 1 of the 2 games being shown, it's probably the most important game on, the result is crucial at both ends of the table. I think the 2 games to be shown will be Stoke v Leicester and Southampton v Sheffield United and we can keep flicking back to the other game
davieG Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 They've got Arsenal V Everton @ 1.30 and Liverpool V Man City @ 3.30 on Sky 1 Championship Game on Sky 2 @ 1.30 A1 GP Live on Sky 3 All Afternoon Live European Tour Golf on Sky Sports Extra all afternoon So I can't see them showing two unless interactive - would they bother
Finchy Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 So I can't see them showing two unless interactive - would they bother It is interactive, it said on SSN. God bless the red button
Scow Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 So I can't see them showing two unless interactive - would they bother They've advertised they're showing two - interactive allowing you to choose which one.
Finchy Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 Anyway, slight problem, we're shocking on TV - I mean even worse than normal.
Ashley Posted 27 April 2008 Posted 27 April 2008 I dont know if i've posted this in the right section. How would I be able to enquire to see if there will be a beam back for the Stoke game on sunday?

Interesting, but I did hope you'd discovered a way of beaming us all back to Friday so we could play the Wednesday game again - and I could nip in the back door to get a Barbers afterwards.
