Stoke v Leicester - Live on Sky Sports

Hull can show a live crucial game like this as they are seeking promotion. Apparently, from a reliable source, City are loath to show this game on beam back as the horror of going down to the third tier for the first time could result in some ugly scenes and the club will not find it these as easy to control as if in the stands with loads of stewards and plods in riot gear. Someone else said that it was due to Health & safety and insurance !!.

Personally, I see this as entire reasonable. Why invite someone into your house to sh*t on the front carpet?

We all know that if Leicester go down, there will be a potentially nasty atmosphere, so why risk it with all the repercussions. I'd do exactly the same if I was chief exec.

Of course, if I was Rupert Mudoch, I'd make Stoke-Leicester the featured match.

Think about it People.

SKY will more than likely have two games on.

They're only going to show games that have something in it worth playing.

Team playing for automatic promotion and possibly the championship against a relegation threatened team?

It all adds up to me.

Yep, cos it's all the last games of the season it's just going to be the goals on Gillette Soccer Saturday (sunday) when they are scored. So it gives you a live league update. Very much doubt this game will be on Sky considering Hull vs Ipswich matters alot to both teams aswell.

Yes but nowhere near as much surely, Obviously Im biased but think about it!

What about this for a conspiracy.

City don't take a massive allocation because all gate receipts go to the home side.

Thinking that the game is almost certain to be on Sky, they'll get a Beam-back on at the Walkers, and sell tickets for it. Thousands of fans would pay a fiver to watch it among other fans at the Walkers I presume. If that happens, the club makes the profit from the beam-back and the fee from Sky for televising their match?

Feasible-ish.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but Stoke only let Bristol City have the minimum ticket allocation because they wanted the majority of the atmosphere created by their fans.

Letting LCFC have 5000-6000 tickets would give our side a lift and Stoke have obviously put ambition before cold hard cash.

Keep the Faith. :scarf:

But, if the Stoke support is as loud and intimidating as that boothenend bloke keeps telling us, surely more of our support wouldn't make too much of a difference?

Because Stoke's season average is 16,378 and the best they could muster was 24,475. A full stadium full of both sets of fans is definately not what they want. ;)

Not sure if it was in this thread or not but someone said there would be a Championship game on SS2 on Sunday and then if you press the red button there would be another game to choose from I checked this afternoon and it said there would be a Championship game but on the red button it would be Cricket. So there would only be one game show from the Championship on Sky.

Dear Michael

We will not be having a beam back at the walkers we do not know if the game will be on the television
