I will love you for ever. Im soo glad im going but i haven't told work im not going to be around yet. Come on you fooking blue boys. NOW OR NEVER!
Ric Flair Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Right then fans, this is it. 16 seasons of up's and down's for me but never quite as serious as right now. I've just come in from a night on the tear and it's finally hit me. Stayed away from here all week, but I knew the shit would be on my doormat at some point and it's landed. Feeling very proud to be a Leicester fan right now, because even if we suffer the inevitable I know we have a nucelus of fans that will see us through. Seeing Bournemouth just fall short today was a shame and I just hope we can go one better. Would be sweet if Gradel could be fast tracked back for a cameo tomorrow to put it up the fookers. Anyway, it's been a shocking season. I've got to be up in a few hours to make my way to Stoke, don't know whether to laugh or cry, but it's one last drop of the shoulder. Let's do it. Good luck to you all tomorrow where ever you watch us, listen to us or even steer clear of us. They will be a bit twitchy tomorrow being so close to promotion, I hope we have some big game players to exploit that. When you're smiling............
FilboFox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Less than 12 hours to go... I am really nervous... can't get to sleep at all!!! I hope this excitement will be worth it... would be crushing if we lost and went down after all this build up.
FilboFox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Here we are, the day of reckoning! Been nervous for days now... I can't quite believe that we are in this situation and all I can hope is that the worst DOESN'T come into fruition tomorrow. We have the players to keep us up and the management but that is secondary for me now, we can argue about that endlessly in the future but it doesn't and won't help our plight NOW and all I'm caring about is the result and whether or not we can stay up. As Ric Flair says, wherever we all are, whatever way we are following this massive game, however we choose to prepare ourselves and whatever the result, I'll be a proud Leicester fan, not because of the players and what they have achieved (or not), but because of the fact that we do have a bunch of great and loyal fans, fantastic stadium and history! I'll be sticking with Lesta through think and thin and come 5pm tomorrow all I can say is that I hope that we are still in the Championship as I'm sure do all of us on here... Keep the Faith, Believe, One Team. One Dream, whatever you want to choose as a slogan, each one has the same meaning behind it... WE ARE LEICESTER 'TILL WE DIE!!! COME ON CITEEEHHHH!!!!!!
lcfc_jme Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 My. Fucking. Word. I am absolutely bricking it about this game, and I'm not even going to be there, which for me makes it all the more annoying. I've spent a good 3 hours arguing with drunks in town tonight who have told me that Leicester are shit, and that they support Man United or Chelsea. They asked me why I waste my time supporting a shit club who never win anything. They just don't understand it. The passion, the drama, the tension. The incredible highs, the despairing lows. The sense of camaraderie and togetherness you get at away games with like-minded people, the feeling that you are part of and belong to something, through thick and thin. Being truly gutted when you miss out on games against the likes of Stoke, the likes of Barnsley, not just turning up to the games against Villa or Chelsea because it gives you a chance to "see the stars". Your "I was there" moments come in the form of Nils-Eric Johansson goals at Preston away; dire performances and being soaked away at Accrington Stanley in midweek evening games; the Iain Hume goal at Barnsley away, as well as witnessing Carl Cort actually score against the mighty Chelsea and last minute winners at Forest. When things are good, you're genuinely proud to be part of it, and when they're bad, you're still proud, but you genuinely care about what has happened and go through the emotions of it all. And no matter how bad it seems or gets, you still come back for more, because it matters to you and you want to be involved. These are all feelings you cannot begin to fathom watching your team every other Sunday afternoon on Sky Sports 1 and midweek on ITV in the Champions League. Regardless of what happens in the next 12 hours, regardless of how the other results go, we're still going to be Leicester fans and the majority will still be there next season. Whether it's playing Derby and Forest in the league, or it's Yeovil and Carlisle on a Tuesday night in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, the true fans will still turn up, not because they feel obliged to, but because they want to. Sure dropping out of the select 9 will hurt, but we'll come back from it stronger than ever. It's very fucking late (or early, depending on how you interpret this) and I've rambled on, so I guess I better try and get some sleep. Need to be up for the pub opening time of 12PM, because I'll need to be fairly drunk to deal with the high drama tomorrow is sure to bring. Gutted I can't be there, but for the people who are going, do your bit in the stands and help the lads as much as possible. COME ON YOU BLUES.
Koke Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Alright this is it then. I woke up at 6.30am and I've just come back from the petrol station to buy some shit to calm my nerve + drinks. Just to put it simple, I'm shitting myself like everyone else. The missus thinks I'm a weirdo for waking up at 6am on a Sunday morning, but she knows today is the kinda day I get emotional about Come, win for the love of God. Please, please, please. Failing that, we looking at you Sheffield United. Please.
SamL Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 This week has been the longest week of my life. It doesn't matter what other teams do today, we have to win. How hard can it be to win a game of football? If we win, we're safe. Simple as. I'm dreading it. COME ON LEICESTER.
Koke Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 TBH i hope we go up and you stay up Let's hope so. And we can have one big party at your place. Getting off to Stoke at round 11 ish, and I do have a pretty decent away record so hopefully this one will added to my tally of away wins.
samuel Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 At 4 o'clock today a team of 15 men that have been largely ineffectual as a unit for the last 8 months will finally have a sense of unity. The job will have been done of securing the clubs future in the championship. The enormity of the occasion will hit home at noon today and a wave of invincibilty will pass over these men, unlike at any point this season, they will really start thinking they are something extraordinary. Each man will have dreamt about a performance like todays, it will be real Roy of the Rovers stuff. It will be a double celebration come 4pm at the Britannia Stadium because LCFC will have won and SCFC will be promoted anyway because Ipswich will have done what they do at home, win. The performance is required from each man because jobs are on the line and what better game to prove to us all that the team can and will be able to perform as a team next year. Leicester supporters expect, so now do what you have shown in very brief glimpses this year and avoid the capitulation of past and stay strong to a man And finally have reason to hold your heads high.
teblin Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 i have never been this nervous before a game. Come on you blues!!!!!!
blue blood Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Today is going to take a few years off my life, whichever way it goes. Its going to hurt so bad if it all goes wrong. I have not felt this energy before a football match for many years. Its like sitting an exam, i would rather it be over and done with so i know if i have passed or failed! Come on citeh, once you cross that white line you must be 101% switched on, focused and ice cool for 100 mins.
teblin Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I'm clinging to the fact that we are so inconsistant. Thats whats giving me the hope we can win.
Kilworthfox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I'm clinging to the fact that we are so inconsistant. Thats whats giving me the hope we can win. Well the stats are with us we did not win last week
Koke Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 After beating Barnsley, it was bloody obvious that we were gonna lose against Wednesday. I don't know why there was such an uproar in the aftermath of that game. Since when does LCFC do back-to-back wins. The stats are in our favour now. That can only be a good thing.

Kilworthfox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Its wierd i knew we would lose to wednesday, but today i have a sneaky feeling we are going to get a result as i did at barnsley. COME YOU BLUES!!! The players must show desire and professional pride! Something they have lacked most of the season! Which is why we are where we are
teblin Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 The players must show desire and professional pride! Something they have lacked most of the season! Which is why we are where we are I want to see everone of the players that play today look like they are giving there last bit of energy. I don't care so much if players are rubbish and try hard. But to have a ability and not wrk hard with it is a disgrace. And i have seen players not working this seaon no matter what holloway says. Lets have some fight today, show some pride for this club and its fans!
Matt Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Someone earlier in the week was saying they'd love to put a heart monitor on my during todays match, My hearts skipping a beat now, got knows what i'll be like come 2pm. My mouth's dry, I feel sick...Might start on the drink early... The day is here...C'mon City, Please.
ibbosuk Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Come on City. Dont let us down! Like they haven't been leting us down ALL FAKIN SEASON!! ((MORON))!! Stoke supporter at least have it about right>> Stoke City v Leicester City - preview By Potters Reporter - 03/05/2008 18:51 Forget Hull City at Ipswich, it's all about what West Bromwich Albion do at Queens Park Rangers. In case you've forgotten, we're going for the title and all that stands in our way - is a woeful Leicester City side... So, simply put, in just two words... GOARRRNNNN STOKE! Who gives a flying one what is happening below us in the table? Who really cares who might be in the play-offs, going down, or crying at 4pm this Sunday? Stoke City are going up - leaving these wretched Championship shores - and we want it to be with the title. When the Sky cameras pan out on the Britannia, it will be the misery of Leicester City fans taking second stage and waiting for the two seconds of sympathy from the nation (ha, ha!) as Stoke City majestically cruise into the Premier League WITH the Championship title. You just know it. Tony Pulis will have the fullest, fittest squad possible to thrash Leicester City with - and the only fly in the ointment for the game with the Foxes - was the untimely recall of on loan Premier League centre back Chris Riggott who went back to Middlesbrough on Friday. Meanwhile, Ian Holloway's rag-a-tag outfit will be lucky to survive relegation after the Potters smash their East Midlands rivals to pieces. Hopefully, Southampton will beat Sheffield United at St Mary's and the miserable Milan and his millions will be flushed down to third division obscurity forever. What a tasty little bonus that will be come Sunday tea-time. Bring it on! I SAY THIS TO EVERY LEICESTER CITY SUPPORTER!! LETS GET THIS SHOWER OF SHITE OUT OF THE WAY & RELEGATED, SACK THE GUY WHO IS NOW OFFICIALLY WORSE (AND MORE HATED THAN PETER TAYLOR) GET DOWIE IN AND HOPFULLY GET US BACK TO SQUARE ONE IN A SEASON'S TIME, ((BUT WITH A TEAM WE CAN BE PROUD OF)) BUT FOR THE NOW..FuK OFF CITY AND YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING YOU GET THIS AFTERNOON. WANKERS.
