fsdss Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Just can`t seem to think that whoever played / ran the club this was going to happen. We have a really bad vibe in the Club. This group are losers and can`t get the confidence to pick themselves up. The players and management have no belief in themselves. Ollie tried but couldn`t get them any confidence. Will he go, well yes probably but I really think this was on the cards for a number of years. God help us if they can`t start off well next year as the losing mentality will need go. As for turning your backs on City I can understand some of the comments. (I`m not renewing my season ticket) but I`m certainly not going to walk away from them. Leicester Till you die they say. Just keep away from sharp objects!!!!
MC Prussian Posted 4 May 2008 Author Posted 4 May 2008 Right now, the disappointment has somewhat subdued and I'm really looking forward to this summer, as I'm sure we'll see some old beds turned over and the floor being properly swept. With new brooms and a new housekeeper. Bring on League One and a fresh start with young and hungry faces.
Tevez Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Gutted. Going into an unknown territory for once in our history. It's the end of the end and it's been coming given our past performances in the Championship. What really can you do? Not alot I guess. Time to get rid of all the shit we've got and build from scratch. Today is the end of the end, next season is a new begining. Leicester 'til I die.
breadandcheese Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I am dissapointed but looking foward to next season as if leeds go up we are going to win it easy. Oliie should stay there is no other managers that would come to us now.Bring On Yeovil It is this approach that will see us struggling. League 1 is a scrap and unfortunately, we've seen the fight this team currently has.
lildave3 Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Devastated. I really thought we were going to do it aswell, or more to the point that Southampton wouldn't.
WetFlannel Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Ollie will have until tomorrow morning at the most. I hope he's reading these boards tonight, and realize what shame he's brought to the club. Fucking overpaid twats
Guest Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Devastated, shell-shocked yet at the same time numb. You could see it coming, but the overwhelming sense of powerlessness as the inevitable drew nearer was, well, it seems to make it harder to take. This club has had 42 opportunities to avoid this mess, and in the end it was in our own hands, but the players and the management failed to step up to the mark and take control of our destiny. The only positive I can see is that hopefully the club can clear out and rebuild. It's rotten to the core.
lildave3 Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I'll also add that I genuinely feel bad for laughing at abusing Leeds fans last year.
Hullfox Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 The only positive I can see is that hopefully the club can clear out and rebuild. It's rotten to the core. I agree. Can we organise a clear out of some of our so called supporters too?
Corky Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I'm still in shock. This had been coming for weeks, but it still hurts like hell.
lavrentis Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 SKY SPORTS NEWS: Hoping to get Mandaric Interview 8.15 PM SSN.
lilsmig Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 cant beleive it still in shock will still be there for the boys holloway time to go and ruin another club
Free Falling Foxes Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Just think: If we draw Stoke* in the cup & beat them it'll be classed as a giant killing. *Assuming we get through rounds 1&2 of course!!!
Guest Gist Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 I'm not as bad as I thought I'd feel today, obviously I'm still shocked and upset and all the other emotions but overall we deserved to go down so I can't really complain. Hopefully this gives us the kick up the a*rse we need, give some of the talented youngsters a go and get back up soon and build for a stronger future. My biggest fear though is us staying down and doing what we did when we left the prem saying 'we'll be back next season' and three seasons down the line we end up in a worse situation with a future in the bottom tiers of the football league
colbo68 Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 That's it, I'm done with this club. Have some fun in League One!I'm switching to more important things in life. The way the club owner, the manager and the players have let down us fans is appalling. Worst season ever with the worst manager ever. fook YOU ALL, YOU SPINELESS IDIOTS!!! I'm sorry for all you guys out there who are even more passionate about it. Happy 125th anniversary in League One! As I said yesterday Ollie should do the right thing and resign - he is incompetent at this level and he and the team have upset myself and my son (13) greatly - I will never forgive him for his tactical ineptitude and for sticking with Howard and Hayles - shame on you and for all those fans who have mistakenly shouted for him for all these months - we will bounce back but today I am gutted.............
Corky Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 How the tables have turned, maybe pre season we will rape your club of any half decent players you have and pay fook all for them at trbunal.Oh right, you aint got no decent players, maybe not. Oh boo hoo, get over it. Now go and call for your manager's head like the rest of your fickle bunch of "fans".
Leicester Lass Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 As much as I was prepared for relegation, I don't think anything could have prepared me for how gutted I felt at the final whistle today. Was heart-breaking
Father Ted Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 How the tables have turned, maybe pre season we will rape your club of any half decent players you have and pay fook all for them at trbunal.Oh right, you aint got no decent players, maybe not. We gave you a headstart at your ground and you still couldn't beat us
lilsmig Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 still cant get over the fact that we are going down legue 1 here we come
ARSaint Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Delighted Mandick has been relegated for obvious reasons. Delighted Holloway has been relegated for the 'Southampton think they're such a big club' comments when he was at Plymouth yet Leicester are 'too big a club to be in League 1'. Dissapointed for your fans, good bunch of lads and it could quite easily have been us. Good luck for the future.
Corky Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 As much as I was prepared for relegation, I don't think anything could have prepared me for how gutted I felt at the final whistle today. Was heart-breaking I know the feeling girl, although I was prepared for it, it still shook me up really badly. I nearly had a tear in my eye, and I've never cried over football before.
Leicester Lass Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Check out the last picture on the Picture Special on the OS EDIT: Just seen the other thread
blueoveru Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Actually I'm quite relieved its now happened ......we cant say its not been coming cos this last 3 years we've been teetering on the edge of the abyss, and our football this year has been so shyte, that really it was almost a certainty, we would be relegated. I'm not happy about saying this, in fact, I've written a rather obnoxious letter to the Club about the way this club has gone downhill faster than an Olympic skier, after 60+ years of support its pains me to write to the club expressing my concerns as to its wellbeing, I know in all probabilty it will be thrown straight into the nearest rubbish bin but at least its off my chest.
Darkzzz_ Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Just had a little sleep, and when i came round it was very surreal... Horrible feeling, i feel like my missus has cheated on me, but i want to give her another chance, i dont want to give up on her because i love her to much and i cant just stop that!! Gutted, depressed, everything rolled in to one, ok ok let our rivals have there laugh, they were always going to, we have done it to them, it is how we respond now, we must go into that league as one of them, we are not bigger than any other team in that league, i dont care what anybody says!! Lets just get through a very hard season next season and hope we can put this down to part of the rebuilding towards the future. It was not in the plan but it is where we are, where we deserve to be, so lets get on with it..... I will be there next season, singing, being loyal, being hopefull.... But for now, i will think of what might have been, it will be such a long summer....
