And this is a woman who had identified the managers failings without knowing anything about football!!!! I think that sums up our current management team. Pointless beyond comprehension.

We all know the b*llocks about no club having a divine right to be where they are but, it's wrong. For a club with our fanbase, with the money that's been spent this season, we should not be on the same level as Hereford, Walsall, Leyton Orient, Cheltenham, etc. The gameplan worked today, we got the point we went for. If only someone could have alerted the dozy sod Holloway that we needed three. Once Southampton took the lead and we knew we needed to win, I turned to my friend and said, "What are the odds Holloway waits to the 80th minute to make a change?" I was wrong, it was the 86th. I understand playing Howard to give us some aerial threat, but when that is ineffective, then he's a passenger, which is what he was today. Despite this, he plays the 90. Hayles, worked hard, but his touch was poor, kept the laying the ball off to Stoke players and got very tired after 65 mins. Despite this, he plays the 90. Our most crucial game and I'm reduced to shouting at the TV for Holloway to make a change, to give us an attacking threat. There was no plan B today, that's what hurt the most. Did Holloway actually believe any of his substitutions would be effective after 86 mins? Holloway. Nice guy, but doesn't have the brains to be a good manager. Credit to Stearman and Mattock today. They were solid down the flanks against Cresswell and Lawrence. Once again, I'm very upset that Holloway would do nothing until the 86th minute. Even the captain of the Titanic had more nous about him.

At least they've always tried regardless of ability. You would think a team would flourish using these lot or some of them anyway as the central backbone. Obviously not. I really feel for Stearman and Mattock right now, being surrounded in a sombre dressing room by a clown and his goons.
Simi Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Just got back. I had the same sort of feeling as Durnerz before the game, if we go down, we can rebuild, go to some new grounds and all that. But no, this has hit me right where it hurts. 44 times this season I've payed money to watch them, all it's done is rip my heart out on the final day of the season. Absolutely unbelievable. Even more unbeleivable is the fact I'll be going to MK C*nts next year. Wankers. I'm devastated despite it looking very likely we'd go down. Regardless of what the players did today, they don't care. I'll look back at games like Hull away and the like. Shocking motivation for games that will come back to haunt us. Bristol, Colchester and Sheffield Wednesday as well. We deserve to go down. I just wish those players could feel as miserable as me tonight. Never have I felt so alone at the end of the match, Tommo came over to me at the end and it made me well up, why do we care so much for people that don't care for us at all.

No more hurt like this - It would have been so liberating. I wish I didn't care and there are fleeting moments when I resign myself to the situation. But that's just a coping strategy. When I (we) wake tomorrow we'll be seriously down. Big thanks to my understanding wife who's leaving me alone atm.

I did shed a tear, but i am very confident we can bouce back, it will be a long summer for sure, No England in Euro's and us being relegated, oh and Forest being promoted!!! Bollocks.....

Joe. Posted 4 May 2008 Posted 4 May 2008 Gutted. Devastated. I can't believe it's happened but it has. And we just have to get on with it and sort ourselves out for next season. I think we can do it and I think we will but we'll see what happens in the summer I guess.
