Daggers Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 DB's Optimistic Bus "It's a marvellous club and it's had far too many changes but I will say Leicester City will be back, probably in a very different form with different people playing for them. source Mandaric questions whether or not he will be Chairman next season (although he'll remain the owner).A huge question mark now hangs over Ollie.Players have failed and will be sold or released.Next season sees us travelling the country to grounds that will be new to many of us. Remember how excited people were at going to Colchester? Remember people commenting that it felt more like real football? And as for a target - mid-table mediocrity doesn't enter into it, from the outset our aim is clear...Automatic promotion. Whether we achieve it or not, this will be what we are all going for from the outset. As pissed off as I am about this season I am sodding glad that it is now over, like having had the shit that caused your stomach to ache. That is it for all the crap we have endured. It's over.We still have a football club, we have some very exciting young players coming through...we have a future and I'm looking forward to a summer of change. Bring it on.
Daggers Posted 5 May 2008 Author Posted 5 May 2008 Our drain is a communal one and our neighbour's tree blocks the bit where it enters the main drain. This means that when anyone on the line flushes we get the smell of effluent in our kitchen if the door is open. Unless we've had a really big rain storm. As the rain stops the smell is sweet, and that is how I feel this morning.
sdb Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Hendo Chambers Kisnorbo McC Mattock Gradel Weso King Bell Hume Sappleton ship the wankers who don't care, play some fearless, attacking footy with real spirit and players who have some kind of affection with this club i sound like thracian, but in league 1 i think it should work the other good thing about getting relegated is that i always felt the fans were a little OTT at our players. there was almost a genuine hate which made me quite uncomfortable. ... but it seems almost justified now. clutching at straws maybe, but the players (mostly) deserve the stinging critisism they've recieved this season!
He's not bald Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I'm aboard!! I'm going with a bit of Yazz and D:ream! Yep,let's look forward,we need to clear out all the crap (bye bye Hollow-way)let's have a manager with some tactical nounce and some young hungry players who actually have some passion and want to play for Leicester City!
AoWW Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Come back for me later, eh? I'm still sat in the beautiful pink bus, sobbing.
Daggers Posted 5 May 2008 Author Posted 5 May 2008 [dream list] I'll be amazed if some of that list are still here next season. Mattock will have been touted to clubs as soon as we became strong possibilities to drop, Kisnorbo will be out next January, McCauley will be snapped up by a Championship side and I can not see Hume remaining a City player.

Ill be chuffed if someone takes Mcauley off us
AmericanScott Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Now that i think about it, i'm quite happy to see us in League 1. It'll give us the chance to rebuild. Yes, i am a bit heart broken to see us go down, but League 1 can be fun. I'm looking forward to August and the League Trophy

Mattock's not done enough yet and he'll wanna stay here. McC maybe, but he's not that good. Hume cares about the club so could stay. We don't need money (unless MM goes) so no-ones gonna go cheap. And they wont have the guts to put in transfer requests. So to call it a dream list is ridiculous.
Vacamion Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 At the weekend I saw my one year old nephew who has been taught to kiss the badge on his mum's Citeh shirt... There is hope. I'm on the bus.

lavrentis Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 Come on Lets get behind the boys next season whoever plays for us and whoever manages us. I'm in.
Tilley Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I'm on board. As I said in the relegation thread, I'm gutted. But we will be back, stronger than ever.
davieG Posted 5 May 2008 Posted 5 May 2008 I'd like to see who the owner, driver, navigator and mechanics are before I get overly optimistic, I've been resigned to this league for quite a while so my disappointment will be short lived, but my anger at the way we threw away our chances will take a while to subside. Because although we were in the main crap as a team we had individuals who were quite capable of keepimg us up.
