There's something about him I like, but he needs to push on to be good enough for the Championship or higher. Quick and strong, we need a player with those two attributes. Was scoring goals for fun last season when he went out on loan.

Didn't want to start a new thread as it will probably be closed straight away so I've posted it in here. Can't see it happening myself but I have heard the rumour first-hand off quite a reliable source.

I know he has been on trial at West Ham but they seem reluctant to sign him. would it be worth trying to get him back for a year? Would he come and play in league 1 and would he want to move north again?

Ipswich have been announcing on their OS that they have offered Thatcher a deal and will expect it to be sorted today/tomorrow. Don't think we really want another ex-player coming back too, and anyway his tackle on Mendes was disgusting a few seasons ago. Get the Da Silva twins in on loan from Man Utd. They will sort out the full back problems. Those two and Gradel would be terrifying. They would be awesome, and probably won't feature for Man Utd this year, some league experience would do them good. One is a RB, the other is LB so that would sort out cover for both places.

I think Ferguson has said something along those lines. Fabio may be a shout though, but it'd still be an incredible coup for us.

The Blur Posted 21 August 2008 Posted 21 August 2008 This is not exactly league one player but what about MacDonald that went on the loan to Hereford last season and scored about 7 goals in 6 games Not sure if he went back to West Brom or has been sold to someone else Could be messiah for our scoring problems
