Tevez Posted 17 July 2008 Posted 17 July 2008 Peter Thompson looks set to leave Linfield in Northern Ireland. He scored 44 goals last season, i've kept an eye out on him for a few seasons now and I think given the level we are at, we should make a move for someone like him. Can't believe he's gone Stockport.
dog_4 Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 how come his deal fell through at stoke? and any chance of him coming here?
beemeroo Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 how come his deal fell through at stoke? and any chance of him coming here? I'm just guessing here, but Keane probably asked for 23million from Stoke to fund all the useless Spurs players he just bought.
Ashley Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 I'm just guessing here, but Keane probably asked for 23million from Stoke to fund all the useless Spurs players he just bought. A keeper, worth that much
MikeyT Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 He wont come here. He's better than League 1, plus i think its probably that Keane does want silly money for him, part of the reason why he didnt come back here after his loan with us.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 Maybe Stoke actually thought they had a chance with Carson - Stoke or Hull - he wasn't going to go there. West Brom i'm a little suprised by, but no way Stoke. And with that, may Stoke will step their interest in Fulop again?
beemeroo Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 My thought was: If Sunderland wanted 3million from a struggling Championship side, what on earth would they want from a newly promoted team with a bit of money to splash?
Mickey O'Neil Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 I didn't even know this had fell through I wondered what Stoke were doing going for Carson after they had just 'signed' Fulop..felt a bit bad for him really. Hope he tells Stoke to go and fcuk themselves now. Oh, & no chance of him coming And another thing while I'm at it, apart from Dave Kitson, I reckon Stoke and Hull are signing/going after a right pile of shit at the moment. They'll both be down come xmas.
bigneville Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 No chance of Fulop coming here. Too good for league one.
Father Ted Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 I reckon if we were to put in a bid that would be accepted, he would come...
eaststandtom Posted 18 July 2008 Posted 18 July 2008 the guy was excellent whilst he was here but i think 3 million was excessive even then. would be great to have him but he wouldnt come now surely!!
MC Prussian Posted 19 July 2008 Posted 19 July 2008 5 years ago, we had the last decent keeper on a real-deal contract... Ian Walker. Fulop... fell through. Taylor... fell through. When will Mother Nature finally do us a favour again? In 20 years???
Tevez Posted 20 July 2008 Posted 20 July 2008 I reckon if we were to put in a bid that would be accepted, he would come... Well that's what normally happens.
teblin Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Tomáš Necid Wheres that name come from? looks liek he could be a decent prospect.
Father Ted Posted 21 July 2008 Posted 21 July 2008 Well that's what normally happens. I mean, he would come to us and not reject us...
Ric Flair Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Wheres that name come from?looks liek he could be a decent prospect. Seen him do a number over England Under 19's the other week, scored 2 and looked very good in the air and on the deck.
teblin Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Seen him do a number over England Under 19's the other week, scored 2 and looked very good in the air and on the deck. Sounds a decent player, might just be out of our reach however.
Jonezy Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Am I the only one, who still wants a leftback? I do not like the idea of playing Chambers there, when Mattock is out......
