Lloyd Dyer.

Your wish came true within 12 hours :D

Paul Reid released from Barnsley yesterday ? And maybe Nathan Dyer from Southampton although i think he is wanted by a few premier league clubs but Paul Reid would be a great signing in my opinion.

Paul Reid would be ok, never seen Dyer play.

As we are building a good team for next season I think we should raid Cambridge United again and buy there keeper Danny Potter, a fantastic keeper kept the most clean sheets in the Blue Square Premier league, ex Chelsea keeper, very comptent, demanding keeper works his box well, organise his defence well. I think we need a good keeper for next season

Late 20s? And still only conference level...

Thanks, but no thanks.

Logan and Henderson will do fine for League 1.

We need to strengthen other areas first.

Manchester City have released Geovanni, Emile Mpenza and Paul Dickov.

Maybe the latter two worth a shout?

No chance with Mpenza.

There is a slight possibilty for Dickov, but I very much doubt it and I don't know if I'd actually want him here anyway.

As I've said in another thread, I'd only take Dickov if we cleared a few of our own strikers out first. I'm guessing he'll been signed by Blackpool anyway.

There's a player who current;y plays for Inverness in Scotland called Marius Niculae, he's awesome for Leicester whenever I buy him on Football Manager and he must be fairly decent as he played for Romania in the Euros. I reckon we should get him in, he looks very tempting.

Please tell me this is some kind of joke??

I beat Roger Federer and Floyd Mayweather the other night on my x box but I won't be walking out on Centre court or fcuking main eventing in the MGM grand anytime soon!!!

While Football Manager is a reasonable guide to a players style its not THAT accurate, as there are far too many subjective factors in defining the player's stats in the first place. How a player does in the game is indeed of no relevance though, as I doubt that Nigel Pearson's tactics are nicked off FM, or that the real world reacts in precisely the same way to FM's settings (although the media items do seem to be stolen from Glenn Roeder's script).

Besides, we couldn't afford Niculae anyway.

I'm sure I have seen a few managers make 'Football Manager recomendation' signings though. Ollie signed Cherno Samba for Plymouth at the same period he was a shit hot youngster in that years FM game! It could have been a coincidence i suppose?

And I'm sure we could afford Niculae - just press the complain to board button and they'll give you some more transfer and wage budget!

Would like to see a striker such as Adam Boyd, Joe Garner, or Ben Strevens in by the end of the week.

Off to Forest if you believe the papers...

Charlie Mulgrew

Don't know much about him, noticed he's had southend and swindon after him.

Need a left back, anyone know any thing about him?

No he didn't. Cherno Samba was an absurdly overhyped teenager way back. When Millwall turned down a bid from Liverpool for him aged 15 or so, he let it go to his head, didn't improve at all, got released, went and played in the second-tier in Spain for a couple of years and didn't do much, then went to Plymouth as a second chance. There was a good 5 years between Samba first being heard of, and being rated well on the subsequent Championship Manager, and him signing for Plymouth.
