lookwhaticando Posted 13 June 2008 Posted 13 June 2008 Ipswich are a small club. They're a small club in the suburbs of Norwich. A small club that's won the Football League before... and the FA cup. And the UEFA cup. We've won the League Cup three times. Just saying, like...
lildave3 Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 (a) he can't pass!(b) what pace? Ipswich are a small club. They're a small club in the suburbs of Norwich. Seriously though, is this post a wind-up? I wouldn't pay more than 300k for McAuley. When you consider that whatsits (can't remember his name) went to Charlton for about half of £1m, surely this bid of £1m is way overpriced. I would take it though. Defo take that offer. You'd be daft not to. Pah!
Maybes Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 1.5 Million?? I'd be happy if this were true!! Yeah that would do. Althought we dont have a manager?
Jonezy Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 1.5 Million?? I'd be happy if this were true!! Yep, we got a winner. If we can get 1,5m for McAuley, imagine what we can get for Mattock.....
Daggers Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Woohoo! No manager and now half a defence. Great days!
Joe. Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Why are we happy about this? As a fan I want to see my team's best players stay with the team. McAuley in my opinion is one of the team's better players and it'll be a shame to see him go. Why are we happy about getting the money for him when we've got to replace him anyway?

Surely Mr. Barry can play in that position? £1.5 million is a very good price for someone who we signed for free. Whether we could attract someone better is another story. As we know, money doesn't always bring success so in that case maybe we should keep Mcauley rather than gamble on someone else. I hope Mandaric leaves this to the new manager rather than make a decision on a potential bid.
Joe. Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Well I know who I'd rather have out of McAuley and Daren Moore...
SamL Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Well I know who I'd rather have out of McAuley and Daren Moore... Darren Moore and £1.5 million big ones?

Simi Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Good sale Mandy! Not bothered about the sale. Just the blatent contradiction between cheif exec and owner, just smacks of stupidity. Happy with 1.5 mil though.
lildave3 Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Darren Moore and £1.5 million big ones? Darren Moore is a willy puller. Thus, i'd rather have McAuley.
Father Ted Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 We've got to do everything to hold onto Mcauley. Although, if Worthington comes in then Mcauley may stay. Worthington got him into the N.Ireland setup after all.
Samilktray Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Darren Moore is a willy puller. Thus, i'd rather have McAuley. Well you would.
Jack Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 Looks like big Dazza Moore is coming our way then. Personally Im sad to see McAuley go, I rated him and think he was one of our better players last year.

If Moore is coming I think Bruno will be first out of the door. Moore for Mcauley isn't a straight swap. The rumour about Mcauley going to Ipswich has been around for a while, I'm hoping it's just speculation. I think Mcauley could do wel lfor us in this division.

SamL Posted 16 June 2008 Posted 16 June 2008 A centre back for a centre back? Personally I think they're different types of centre backs. As in, Moore wouldn't be a like to like replacement for Mcauley because they're different types of players.
