And then realised you still had a grain of self respect left in you?

Spent a few hours today tazzing round the track and followed works riders testing some Triumph bikes ...    brilliant watching them crank the bikes down and scraping those knee pads when you are about 20 yards behind ...     felt a bit safer with 4 wheels underneath me.

I don't know why but cars behind me when on the track or when a vehicle takes exception to me 'making progression the road really shit me up when they are on my back wheel! I go from feeling rather confident to distracted, angry and vulnerable! One way of causing me ease off the throttle..

Good idea, Col.

Then once you get the hang of it, you can upgrade to this:

Never had many cars up my arse when i was on my bike ! ..    :)    but I know what you mean.   That day there were 5 different groups all doing various tests (handling, brakes etc, cars and bikes) and some were going mega quick and others much much slower ..   thing was everyone was confident and at ease with each other so no drama whatsoever ...      on a track day all the loonies seem to come out the woodwork ..   scary !

Mate, my bike has a roof on it so your new one looks positively Harley-esque in comparison!!

They're only jealous!!! lol

I loved it. Quick, lots of storage, 650 c.c engine, heated seats, folding mirrors.

Beautiful machine!

Fookin boy racers on here...

And comfortable too, when wearing elasticated jeans I bet?

I have just bought a pair of armoured jeans actually. Can't be doing with leathers. Too fat. I'm assuming you have matching lid and leathers Nick!

Ha...

When I started out I put a deposit down on the S1K and saw on gumtree a guy who had bought the BMW double R helmet boots gloves full race suit and some other bits and bobs... he had worn them for 2000 miles and now was selling everything as he was emigrating to Argentina. Everything was in my size and I paid £1500 for the lot - the race suit alone was more than that new so I went for it... Full Kit *anker Stylee! No regrets!

I agree - though the motorbike isn't it - I've loved bikes my whole life and had my license since my 20's...

I will say though that turning 40 this month has impacted on what I want out of the next couple of decades or so, though.

That's by the by, but I bet when me and the Mrs are driving around in my Vauxhall Insignia and get some Willy puller on a sportsbike right on our rear bumper, flashing their headlights... bet that's like you innit.

lol

Edit: I do have to say though Nick, I bet that's a beauty to ride!
