Darkzzz_ Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I am looking forward to seeing how Arshavin does when he is back from suspension!! There is going to be some great games!
lavrentis Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully Greece can work together as a team and produce the goods like last time.
Simi Posted 27 May 2008 Posted 27 May 2008 Germans Greeks or Dutch for me. Who do they play for then?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 May 2008 Author Posted 27 May 2008 Germans Greeks or Dutch for me. Germany will win it. Greece will surprise. Holland have a great attack but shite defence (Heitinga aside), and will be lucky to finish above Romania in the "Group of Death".
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 2 June 2008 Author Posted 2 June 2008 The Sunday Times has Spain to win, beating Germany in the final.
Manwell Pablo Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Not Fabio Cannavaro will be interested to see how they get on without him.
shen Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 Not Fabio Cannavaro will be interested to see how they get on without him. A shame he misses out. Great player and one of the best defenders of the last decade. Could be a blessing in disguise though, with the emerging Barzagli probably getting his chance now.

Jonezy Posted 3 June 2008 Posted 3 June 2008 I think is going to be same old with ze Germans nicking it and Ballack to prove what a big game player he is. I think either Italy or France will fall in the group of death. I also do not have high hopes for my Swedish brothers, but they are always solid. My support goes to Holland, I always loved Oranje, hopefully this could turn into the van der Vaart show.

They're on the decline, and with an ageing squad, I can't see them get past the group stages. Zlatan hasn't scored for the national team in ages, and with Ljungberg and Linderoth woefully short of match fitness, their chances are very doubtful...

As for Holland, I can't see them progressing past the group stage given the standard of their opponents.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Not Fabio Cannavaro will be interested to see how they get on without him. Barzagli is the business!!! FORZA ITALIA!!!
Koke Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Look out for the Turkish lad, Arda Turan. Plays on either wing, and is a phenomenal player. Portugal v Turkey tomorrow should be an interesting game.

Joe. Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 I really don't expect Ronaldo to shine this tournament like so many others do. The freedom he gets for Man Utd isn't the same as what he gets for the national side.
FilboFox Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Vamos España!!! Its about time they won the competition and I'll be rooting for them to do well for once! Just look at their team... surely they will be able to come together and do well THIS time!
Fox You Forest Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 Shame he's a Galatasary lad.EDIT - Oi, Karim, did you watch the basketball last night? I fell asleep in the second quater some time.
lildave3 Posted 6 June 2008 Posted 6 June 2008 I fell asleep in the second quater some time. Poor form. I loved it for some reason. Would prefer the Lakers to win tbh. That means you missed when Pierce got carried off then came back and had a stormer.

Made me laugh because they were giving Kobe Bryant the big talk up and from what i saw of it he was shit, Then the American commentators were saying he was as good as Jordan even though he was playing shit.

Yeah Celtics by 10. I know  He didn't seem that great to me, but obviously is just by how they were talking and the fact he was made MVP.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 June 2008 Author Posted 8 June 2008 Only found out the other day that Bafetimbi Gomis has been included in the French squad. Has scored an impressive amount of goals for St Etienne this season as well as scoring a fantastic brace on his international debut against Ecuador. Has been linked with Newcastle though, where his talent will be stifled and his legs broken.
