I want to do some kind of Health promotion in schools or similar. That all could change in the course of three years but I was born to work in the health professions it seems.

My loan, grant and accomodation papers for Bristol have all just come through on the same day. It doesn't seem real.

My cousin lives in Bristol and absolutely loves it. It's a pretty cool place.

Don't buy any books, just get them from the library or not at all.

Don't do any work either.

I guarantee you'll still get a 2:1.

Well that's not strictly true..... don't do any work for the majority of the course and then cram like hell for the last month or so. Works a charm! Oh and as for coursework - it's officially best to leave it to the last minute!

They give you a gist I always thought. If you look here you can see the individual scores for each category (it works better in IE than Firefox). You can also choose a subject and see the league tables for that.

Cheers for that, you-who-carries-the-same-name-as-me.

I've gone with the "Drama; Dance and Cinematics" category, and surprisingly, Northants is not doing too badly:

I'd probably quite like to be regarded as an uncouth northerner. I'd much rather have gone north if Bristol wasn't so damned charming. :D

Is it as expensive as people have mentioned or just relatively very slightly more pricey?

It's the South so it'll be more expensive than Leicester however I've never heard of it being particularly costly to live there. It's certainly nowhere near on a par with London in terms of rent, food, drink, etc.

Plus you'll be able to take advantage of the student union and cheap weekday student nights.

Anyway that's what multiple overdrafts, credit cards, loans and the ensuing mountain of debt are there for.

I am, and hubby permitting, intend to take advantage of Fresher's Week for the 2nd year running, despite being a mature student starting her 4th year.

I am studying law. It's my 2nd time at Uni, and as I didn't really make it through Fresher's the first time, and as I didn't go in the first two years due to work, I am making up for lost time! lol

Education Studies and English. Also a mature student at 24, though this is my first time as I just wasn't up for it after my A Levels. I've got the travelling out of my system so now is time to get a degree.

The whole area is class. Brayford marina is stunning and the Quays area has a scream pub and a Wetherspoons plus a cinema. Obviously I'm only going there to work

The McDonalds on the roundabout right near St Marks (where Toys R Us, Pizza Hut, Homebase et al are)? That's 24 hours now? Somewhere in Lincoln is open 24 hours?

Don't forget the old city at the top of Steep Hill, that's glorious. My mate lost his two front teeth on the cobbles at the Brayford wharf the day before he went to Uni. Soon everyone will believe me when I say Lincoln is a nice city. If only Lincolnshire was actually accessible.
