Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 Cheers pal, unfortunately I have until Sunday to sit and dwell over it all because I'm staying for my dad's birthday. Maybe I've had a very lucky escape if she's willing to do this now on the most important time of my life so far, it'll take a while to see it that way though.but yes, if I'm going to move on anywhere it's London I think you've hit the nail on the head pretty firmly there. Best thing is football. I've had things like that happen to me before, gone to a match and forgotten it's even happened after 10 minutes.
Katy Posted 24 September 2008 Posted 24 September 2008 Katy: Foam party 2 weeks after I get to Bristol - featuring the bloke who played Carlton from the Fresh Prince of Bel Air.I win. Old news buddy boy old news. There's a foam party every Monday night at the Walkabout in Lincoln. We had Max and OB on Saturday night also so I'm thinking I actually win. Much Love
Benji Posted 25 September 2008 Posted 25 September 2008 Sorry for killing the thread Good luck everyone who has gone or is going very soon, I expect every single one of you to be out every night of freshers. Our first year we had 2 weeks of freshers and didn't stay in 1 night, I expect nothing less.

Don't let it affect the studies, after all, you want her to regret it when you're a rich and successful lawyer!!

Did you get that sorted in the end then? Last I heard you were going to go down there and not leave until they gave you money.
LeeCovFox Posted 25 September 2008 Author Posted 25 September 2008 Did you get that sorted in the end then? Last I heard you were going to go down there and not leave until they gave you money. I ended up going in to the LEA and telling them what I thought of them. I was given assurances that the money would arrive by 1st October, and it seems that it will happen. I haven't yet received my money, but my Payment Schedule letter has now been sent out to me, which means I will have my cash within days.
Cobbo Posted 25 September 2008 Posted 25 September 2008 I lived like a fresher for a few days last week again. It was much fun. Lincs is a lovely uni

I have two ART id's apparently and this is why nothing would go through. Bloody useless the lot of them. Hopefully I too will be receiving cash in the next couple of weeks.

As someone who deals with the other side of Student Finance on a regular basis (nothing to do with what I do, but I have to know how it works), the administration of it is an absolute joke. I am amazed that anyone ever gets any money at all.

Hope everything goes well pal and take it as a positive, move on and what Fez said about Football is totally right. Actually hes always right! Anyway yeah, I finished with my girlfriend the night before the Millwall game, totally gutted like and then during the game I just totally forgot about everything going on in my life. Probably one of the worst weekends in a long time though.
Sods Posted 25 September 2008 Posted 25 September 2008 Looks like either Sheffield Hallam Or Uni of Birmingham for me. Was looking to try and get into Aston but that looks a bit unreachable however probably will still put it down.
