Floating Fox Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Grandad lad.See we can get along. I am very tempted with Hallam, my mate has just done his first year and said it was amazing. He is doing a course along the lines I am looking at. Yea I think I am going to go to the place that is best for me living around. Because if Liverpool had a place like Mezzina in Lincoln then I would be there like a shot. Went to Hallam yesterday and was quite impressed with it all, setting is decent and the people seem sound enough. Im looking at Hallam as well mate, need to get up and have a look to be honest. I think the open days have finished now, but Im sure I could get shown round by someone. Yes Hallam contigent. You know it makes sense boys I've already been accepted there for '09
Steven Posted 20 October 2008 Posted 20 October 2008 Back at Uni now, 4th and final year but after working full time for over 12months on placement I'm finding it so hard to motivate myself back at uni.Anyone feel the same? It can be. I found it difficult in my last year of a three year course but after giving myself a good talking to , I managed to get on with it and it was just before Christmas that I started to get my arse back into gear. Less than a year to go, hang in there.
Leicfox Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Just wondering if any of you uni bods are in Blackpool this week for the NUS. We've been invaded by students from all over the country.

Asha Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 I was at the HE Fair at Derby Uni today. Picked a whole load of prospectuses up but I'm still not really sure what I'm looking for. Which uni? What course? No idea at all.

Yeah i was chatting to a few today from Hull Uni, nice bunch too. (Summut about trying to get BUBBLE elected?) They said they got free travel, free board in the Norbreck Hotel/ Savoy Hotel with free breakfast, and all they needed was some spendo for evening meal, which i replied "Pot Noodle" and the rest on booze. Their all out tonight on the razz.

Plus you get to laugh at the "radical" lefties (the Bollinger Bolsheviks as we like to call them down at Essex) pretending they're making a difference to the world during the conference itself. Must be great fun.
Tommeh Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 Yes Hallam contigent. :mrgreen:You know it makes sense boys I've already been accepted there for '09 <_< Down to us now Ched. Just applied for my finance once I hear back I'll get an application in for accompdation then good to go, cannot wait.
Katy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Sorting Finance actually seems more of a ball ache for year two than year one! Bloody alias ART ID's......
StanSP Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Is anyone planning to study Psychology at Brunel or Surrey for next year?
Fosse Boy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 Sorting Finance actually seems more of a ball ache for year two than year one! Bloody alias ART ID's...... At least they've moved the call centre from Glasgow to Newcastle eh? Much friendlier accents to deal with.
Katy Posted 2 April 2009 Posted 2 April 2009 At least they've moved the call centre from Glasgow to Newcastle eh? Much friendlier accents to deal with. I didn't know this, not got round to ringing them yet. I need to but I can't be arsed today, I've too much work to do. Need to get off here too really haha.
filbertway Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 Hallam have accepted me : ) Interactive technology and media here I come.
lcfc_jme Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 You all need to get jobs. Handjobs? Blowjobs or no deal. Besides, I have a part-time job in a bar for 3 shifts a week anyway so I'm technically FAIL as a student.
Fosse Boy Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 I only work in the holidays. Gives me enough cash to fund my "doing fook all" habit for thirty odd weeks a year though.
Asha Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 I want to go uni, but I have no passion for any of my subjects and am getting shit marks
Daggers Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 I want to go uni, but I have no passion for any of my subjects and am getting shit marks Media Studies sounds right up your street.
