Tilley Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 I wonder if Sheehan, Weso, Kingy, Kishishev and Beswick are out celebrating? I bet Hayles, Howard, N'Gotty aren't!
Thracian Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Make Hume staying that bit more likely? Yes, I forgot about Humey.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 No wonder when i got home last night the site was down
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Grayson's the man who springs to my mind as the man for the job. But the expectations here will be very different from Blackpool & although he's done a good job there he's still relatively inexperienced. He has taken a side out of League 1 before though
Population-1 Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 I agree with Thrac, Joe Royle would be my first choice but it won't happen. If you recall, Royle was interviewed for the post after Megson left and mulled it over for 48 hours. He decided against the position and alluded to the fact that he wanted to manage a club with 'Premier League potential within the next two seasons'. He obviously realised the framework and stability of the club didn't support this and backed away. He will be after a final swansong with a club in the upper reaches of the Championship unfortunately.

Being still short of such an offer he might reconsider. If I were Mandaric I'd be over to see him to find out. If ever a club were set fair to look upwards it's Leicester, but it does need someone of proven good judgement and a bit of sanity.
DanTheFox07 Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Id Like to have ince as manager in a perfect world but if it`s Grayson ill be happy because at least he know`s the club and can relate to the supporters, there isnt a lot to choose from but who know`s maybe Mandaric will surprise us all with a foreign manager...?
Population-1 Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 If not he should persuade Jean Tigana that PSG is not the club for him!
Tommeh Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 I'm disappointed it didn't work out for him here because I genuinely believed he was the right man.Does he deserve to go? Probably. But at the same time I wonder whether he deserves a second chance. However there's a large part of me that isn't disappointed with this at all. He made some extremely odd and costly decisions whilst here and he probably deserves it. I just hope we finally find a manager now who looks for the right players and has the right attitude that will lead us forward finally instead of backwards. exaclty my feelings. Good luck ollie.
Jonezy Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 The Leicester Manager Merry Go Around spins yet again........... I was actually hoping for stability this time, but guess he had to go after this season's disaster. No clue, who I'm hoping for, but please bring him in quick MM......... At least we didn't have to wait until mid June to get this announcement.
Matt Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Yep, Good luck Ollie, I was looking for stability and i'll keep saying it, I thought Ollie was the best manager who we could attract. On paper Ollie might have the record of being the worst Leicester City manager in history, However many times people want to claim that in reality we have had many worse.
FleckneyFox Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Just heard this pretty odd time to announce it but although i think he couldve done the job in League 1, i think it is the right decision as getting us relegated was to much to forgive him for. So the next manager mystery starts again! Im hoping for someone from - Joe Royle, Simon Grayson, Danny Wilson, Richard Money or Steve Tilson.

Staf Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 :crylaugh: Someone on the verge of the premiership, and someone who couldn't do well for mighty Walsall. . Danny Wilson dont manage Bristol City any more mate its Gary Johnson
Fez of Mahrez Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 :crylaugh: Someone on the verge of the premiership, and someone who couldn't do well for mighty Walsall. . Bert's had a mare there.
Ultra Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Someone on the verge of the premiership, and someone who couldn't do well for mighty Walsall. . Danny Wilson's at Hartlepool - hardly "the verge of the Premiership" And Walsall were playoff contenders, until their board decided to sell their best players.
Daggers Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 I wonder if Sheehan, Weso, Kingy, Kishishev and Beswick are out celebrating? Explain? He was shit for us before Holloway took over.
Bert Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Danny Wilson dont manage Bristol City any more mate its Gary Johnson You knew who i meant. Ooops. Go laugh all you want.
Thracian Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 Danny Wilson dont manage Bristol City any more mate its Gary Johnson Read some interesting comments from Johnson today about how he avoided signing loanees because it kept the dressing room strong. It's a point I've mentioned before but it's nice to hear a manager take the same view.
Tommeh Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 :crylaugh: Someone on the verge of making Hartlepool world beaters, ( ) and someone who couldn't do well for mighty Walsall. . lol lol Its Louis Fontaine moment now for Berteh!!!!!!!!!!!
CKB Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 This was coming maybe quicker than thought, but i bet alot of us were watching Sky Sports daily since we got relegated to see BREAKING NEWS and Holloway leaves? i was.. I was a real fan of Holloway once, i admired him from afar for what he did with his teams and i liked his zany humour, but like i have said in the last month and half of the season i became enraged with some of his decisions, tactics and attitude, yes there is no such thing as perfection and decisions, tactics can be messed up by the best of them, but i would say from the Plymouth at home game i started to really wonder if Holloway was the man, his attitude that entire night was wrong So now he has gone, fans cry no stability, fans cry yes he's gone! fans cry! now Mandaric needs to go..but the fact of the matter is we support this club no matter what and i truely believe we have to at least give Mandaric one more chance to finally strike it lucky and get his Redknapp, he has one more chance in my eyes...MAKE OR BREAK!
Mr Happy Posted 23 May 2008 Posted 23 May 2008 This really is an odd situtation, IMO, which could have gone two ways. On one hand Ollie could have done the business in League1 I doubt even he could fvck that up then again.. But on the other hand if he had of stayed with us and taken us up (next season from league1) MM would have undoubtly stuck with his man and kept him even though most of the fans could tell that he really didn't have much of a future here. He was out of his depth last season as it showed when he got us relegated so in that sense he didn't deserve (as most of the players) to keep his job, because I see that as being rewarded for failure. Important question now is can we get a manager better than Ollie for this level of football or will we have another 3 week gaffer??
