City Closing In On 10,000

i renewed my ticket over the phone about an hour ago and they said that they've sold 6,000 so far. On par with last season at the moment

By that they mean they have sold a similar amount to this time last year, worrying as the deadline was 2 weeks later last year.

In my humble opinion anything near 10,000 let alone over 10,000 is a credit to THE FANS of Leicester City FC.

Forget the manager(Or lack of!),the players, the owner,etc....Its all about the fans!

I think thats pretty good effort from the City fans, considering the team is sh*t, and we've just been relegated. Those numbers will hopefully keep on rising!

I'm just about to drag myself down there to add to the numbers approaching 10 000.

Why?

Because yet again I am hoping for some sort of miraculous turnaround, which will involve many wins, lots of goals, free-flowing football and plenty of entertainment.

Barking mad I tell you. Barking.

I've just got back from the Walker's having purchased mine this morning. Sales looked brisk (with a queue of 25-30 people deep). Not bad for a Friday morning.

I asked the girl on the counter if my ticket came with a guarantee of many wins, lots of goals and free-flowing football but she look at me with a blank expression. Must have been Holloway's daughter

Going by last years figures we should end up being in the top 3 average attendences again this season.

Probably be Leeds then us, then Huddersfield or someone.

We might get bigger crowds this season on average if we start winning a lot too :P

Not very funny considering his daughters are profoundly deaf.

The difference between the early bird and late bird prices isn't THAT massive, is it? I'm sure demand will peak before the deadline, but anyone who really wants one and hasn't got the cash at the moment isn't going to be put off that much, are they?

10% rise isn't it?

2,000 are probably under-8 tickets so no revenue!

Huddersfield recently surpassed 15,000 due to their normal pricing for a nice stadium

All their season tickets are £100 due to their centenery year.

Yes, it was busy. I was expecting a scence straight out of a western. You know, the one where you go into a saloon and there's one not so happy punter propping up the bar!

Rather more concerning though was the article on the back of the mercury as I left the club shop. John Gregory can bugger off right now.

Like I say, not very funny then.

That's not what I was referring to.

I knew as soon as a clicked 'add reply' that someone would take it the wrong way >_<

And probably have made more money for the club too...its not rocket science.

...and a sponsorship deal.

Which should make us wonder why our marketing department can't negotiate a similar scheme for us.

Whats the reasoning behind your obsession with Walsall?

I noticed that you've mentioned Walsall in every post you've made.
