dandannieldanok Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 and older players will want to be playing football. I'm not so sure to be honest. People are saying that Powell may not have got a deal at Bournemouth because of a tight budget, that just tells me that Powell demanded a bigger wage than Bournemouth were willing to give, which is quite unreasonable of a 38 year old who will have earned a decent wedge in his career. Bournemouth wouldn't have took him on trial if they knew they wouldn't be able to finance a reasonable deal. It is either that or they rejected him because he wasn't good enough. Whatever happened, Powell would be a laughable signing, no matter if it will be just for a few weeks.

Which given the state Bournemouth are in, is probabley £2.50 and a bag of freshley caught prawns a week.
MC Prussian Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 On one hand, it's still a worry that no matter what manager we have at Leicester City, the bad situation up front is never really addressed. We've had a very good defensive record in the past two to three years, so I can't see the point of bringing in yet another defender (even as a back-up for Mattock). The creative and offensive midfield seems to have been sorted with Porter, Gradel and Oakley. So one could actually expect a decent distrubution to the strikers. And yes, only three competitive games played so far, so no definite judgement on the strikers, but the forward misery has been going on for a long time now and I wonder whether we'll ever see another Heskey playing for us again. Or maybe the idea behind all these weird transfers is that Pearson's trying to establish a Megson-type style of play, with a solid back four (or five) frustrating the opposition, only to have the own strikers score one or two goals in order to get the job done. It might not be the most appealing kind of football, but it'd surely bring us back to where we were before. Anyway, that's my theory. What's yours?

Manwell Pablo Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Even though we only have one left back which is currently injured? We should of kept Sheehan.
MC Prussian Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Even though we only have one left back which is currently injured? I'd rather sacrifice Mighty Bruno first.
Jonezy Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 I'd rather sacrifice Mighty Bruno first. He is our Bogarde. At least is only one more season.....
knowitall Posted 22 August 2008 Author Posted 22 August 2008 We should of kept Sheehan. We messed him about to much. In the ened no way was he going to sign
knowitall Posted 22 August 2008 Author Posted 22 August 2008 Are you allowed to release these details. I never release anything that would harm a deal and I dont give personal details about a Leicester player. I only post in here. Giving true fans the information first before other club fans find out or you have to read it on other web sites.
mmarkie Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 Why has the Powell deal not been announced yet Knowitall?
knowitall Posted 22 August 2008 Author Posted 22 August 2008 Why has the Powell deal not been announced yet Knowitall? I have no idea. He passed his medical on Thursday.
mmarkie Posted 22 August 2008 Posted 22 August 2008 I have no idea. He passed his medical on Thursday. Bit wierd do you know if he will be eligible to play tommorrow?
knowitall Posted 26 August 2008 Author Posted 26 August 2008 Is it not funny how Paul Dickov has to come on. Be it on the right or left wing. I wonder what he is like in goal. Okay lets post what I can talk about. Chris Powell paperwork was sent to the FA in time for the Tranmere match, but Leicester sent the wrong form Harry Worley will be going out on loan before the end of the week. Eric Odhiambo, Billy Mackay, Jonny Hayes are all being pushed to go out on loan. James Wesolowski wants to go out on loan but NP will not let him. Paul Henderson was told by NP "Everytime I watch you play I have no confidence in you" Patrick Kisnorbo is about 6 weeks away from playing a match. Now to cover somethings said in other treads. Others have said we should buy David Martin and Jack Hobbs. David Martin is a Liverpool player and I think it would be a very slim chance of us signing him. I do not believe Liverpool want to sell him. Jack Hobbs contract runs out at the end of the season. Liverpool have offered him a new 2 year deal. I believe he will sign this. So I believe there is no chance of Leicester signing him. I know Kerra Gilbert would sign for us now. I believe Arsenal would sell him. Depends on how much and if wer can get out of this league. So in with a chance here.

Bert Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Any news on Joe knowitall? Concerning transfer and/or injury?
Unabomber Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Gilbert would be a fantastic permanant signing.
Simi Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 I knew the Dickov situation would turn out to be like this.
Joe. Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 Any news on Joe knowitall? Concerning transfer and/or injury? I'm being sold for 27p to Dagenham and Redbridge.

Webbo Posted 26 August 2008 Posted 26 August 2008 If we can sign Gilbert that would be brilliant. I can't understand though why he wouldn't want to go to a club higher up.
mmarkie Posted 29 August 2008 Posted 29 August 2008 I would have thought Knowitall would be posting news as it gets closer to the transfer deadline.
Joe. Posted 29 August 2008 Posted 29 August 2008 I can't see any players coming or going between now and the deadline if I'm honest.
