CKB Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Come on Governer. Hope this is true. I seem to recall last time with Martin Allen the MK chairman said he would never deny a chance for anyone to progress, by preventing them talking to other interested clubs. That was Martin Allen though. They might be getting fed up now Milan is making a habit of this. We would have had a better chance getting Ince last year than now It is nice to see Milan approaching Ince, but i just really can't see it happening..
escape2victory Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 I carnt imagine this being leaked by city without mandaric feeling fairly confident he can get his man. Whilst i doubt he has been in direct contact with Ince, maybe discussions have been fairly promising wiht some of his advisors etc

He could stay here and be backed by the most enthusiastic chairman in the Football League, or go to a team in the same division with a chairman nicknamed 'Mad'? He's mentioned loyalty before and how only staying one season at a club (and it could be the same for you) is not going to show up well on him.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Even if he doesnt' come,Nice to see Milan going for someone amibitious and someone the fans want. The fans in my house (i.e. me and the Missus) want Sean O'Driscoll.

Actually that's a very good point, if he moved here and was approached in January by a Premiership club, he'd leave, no question about it. Then we'd be back to square one.
CKB Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Nice to see Milan going for someone amibitious and someone the fans want. Yeah so when he turns us down, i'm sure Milan will wake up then and appoint John Gregory
Tilley Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 No chance Ah well, It's a step in the right direction whether he comes or not.
teblin Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 There maybe another 1 at least who may be approached, looks like milan and aldridge have got that list down to 4 or 5.
Tilley Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Yeah so when he turns us down, i'm sure Milan will wake up then and appoint John Gregory Don't say that.
Alexikokopops Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Link here for anyone who wants it http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11712_3650919,00.html
foxad Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Right now i believe he's a great manager....BUT if he makes the decision to come to us this shows he is insane and therefore probably not the right man to manage us in my opinion.
Ash Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 I'd like to see Ince down here, but well have to see. Dont think he'd be ready for Blackburn just yet!
ronnup Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 http://www.mkdons.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...1323753,00.html holiday my arse, it's a fooking phone-call. Bet we've offered him fat money and he's weighing it up, conveniently with his wife constantly with him. Wifes love money don't they? Blackburn wouldn't take him unless in a secondary coaching capacity. Could be good this.
CKB Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 There maybe another 1 at least who may be approached, looks like milan and aldridge have got that list down to 4 or 5. If that's the case which sounds like it is, Ince is obviously 1st choice 5 Ince Grayson Davies Gregory Royle ??? I believe he's going for the guys in jobs first, so if this doesn't happen which i don't think it will i wouldn't be surprised to see Blackpool being approached next
Asha Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Ince will not come here. MK Dons are one of the favourites to go up as well...it's not exactly a step up the career ladder is it? Right idea though.
purpleronnie Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Damn you, you beat me to it!Its also just been on the local central news according to my dad! I would gladly welcome Ince here, but cant imagine he would want to come unfortunately! I do, we pay more than MK Dons.
hairy Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 I can't wait until the appointment to place on record that I never supported the decision to employ Paul Ince and hold serious reservations about his ability to do the job. As far as I am concerned I would much rather we have employed Sven as only he could have unified such a disunited and hopeless squad. By all account Paul Ince has already lost the changing room, the training ground and his car keys. Incey Wincey is out of his depth at this level and has not demonstrated any understanding of tactical awareness since joining us. You have to wonder whether Wincey has even bothered to read this forum because he obviously hasn't listened to my repeated calls for Ronaldo, Henry, Rooney, Drogba, Giggs, Terry, Hammond to be signed, I hold fears that he is clueless in the transfer market and will only recruit players like Fryatt. Only yesterday, I waved a pair of shoes at Paul Noncey and he just looked at me blankly. I've had enough - it's time for Paul Incey Wincey Noncey Ince to go! Keep the Faith!
morris1234 Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 would like this to happen. i think inces fight could shine through on some players, also a point was made that he must have been one of said managers that applied for the job, mandy wouldnt recieve all these apllications and go elsehwere just to be picky (or maybe he would ). ince however is not stupid he and every other manager knows that our club at the minute is a minefield in many many ways! right man for the job?.......... Possibly but whoever we get there will always be expectation which is theis clubs downfall we expect way too much and wonder why we get so little, this is when the excuse book comes out not experienced enough, too press friendly etc tbh its about luck most of the time especially at the mintue its a lottery with which manager we will get let alone if they do well or not! we wil just have to see what happens!
Fox You Forest Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Im just happy the right noises are being made from Mandaric if he comes or not. On a side note Tamland has said 4 times in 3 pages he wont come.
DonsFan Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 I do, we pay more than MK Dons. Because he's really short of cash.
LeeCovFox Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Because he's really short of cash. He probably wouldn't say no to more though. And remember, at City he would only have to work for 6 months of a 3 year contract and he would get paid fr it all.
