Scow Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 And i will kill you aswell! I'd focus that aggression on Mandaric should Gregory somehow get the job.
DonsFan Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 We have the Prem stadium/fanbase/training/more money to spend etc.We have Premiership potential in the next 5 seasons or so, i believe anyway, which i don't think Mk Dons have not disrespect to them. No, you haven't.
CKB Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 I'd focus that aggression on Mandaric should Gregory somehow get the job. Yes that is true, please forgive me!
Guest Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 No, you haven't. Perhaps you would like to qualify that opinion?
DonsFan Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 The news that i have been waiting for the only manager apart from grayson who will do for us im afraid! I think money talks in this situation! we are a far bigger club than mk dons no disrespect to them but thats the way it is! Im pretty sure ince will see what mandaric has to say, I also agree with what other people hav said about blackburn job and that is a job a it ahead of his managerial career in my opinion. Hate to keep repeating myself, but if you're in League One you're not a big club. It doesn't matter what you've done in the past, you are a League One side. Get used to it.

Get used to it. That's all a bit black and white - by your logic, the likes of Leeds, Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday weren't big clubs when they were in this division. In terms of stature, facilties, fan base and finance, no one would deny we're seen as a big club in this division. Most clubs in this division will want to beat us more than others because of who we are - the same can't be said of MK Dons. This is not to say Ince will want to come here though - just putting in to perspective the relative standings of the two clubs, irrespective of being in the same league.
Unabomber Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 You would say that though, you have no past. Exactly, one relagation doesn't just discard your past and status.
RedHux Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Be a good appointment if you manage to swing it. Can't see him wanting to leave franchise though, and even if it would be a grwat bit of news for you rabble ( ) I'm all for it if it makes franchise weaker.
Jon the Hat Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Hate to keep repeating myself, but if you're in League One you're not a big club. It doesn't matter what you've done in the past, you are a League One side. Get used to it. Then stop repeating yourself. No one said we are a big club, just bigger than you. We would be a step up without question. We can pay more, have a far bigger attendance and cash will be available. We have England U21 players in the squad (for now at least) a Prem standard ground and training facilities, a minted Chairman and a squad which while relegated was playing 2 divisions above yours last season. 2 of our players where key to promtoed sides the season before. We have a stack of premiership and championship experience which your squad lacks, and we are a much bigger draw to players in L1 than you are likley to be as we will be expected to win promotion at the first go, whereas Dons will be expected to struggle. All in all, we are an easy opportunity to earn more cash, win immediate promotion and then challenge to get into the Prem in the following couple of seasons. It would take 10 years for Dons to get anywhere near.
Sparky Posted 4 June 2008 Author Posted 4 June 2008 Will this see the return of RedOnRed? yeah would think so
RedHux Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 That's all a bit black and white - by your logic, the likes of Leeds, Manchester City and Sheffield Wednesday weren't big clubs when they were in this division. *ahem!*
Durnerz Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 It won't happen. Davies would be a better shout given the players we have that are currently under-performing, he'd get the best out of them knowing them as he does.
Sods Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Wouldn't mind this to happen. However, if I was Ince Martin Allen was pretty much in the same position as last time. Thankfully Im not.

It doesn't matter what you've done in the past, you are a League One side. Get used to it. Plenty of big clubs have dropped into the 3rd division at some time and always bounce back eventually because they have a good fan base. Of course it matters what your club has done in the past, I suppose you also think aston villa are a small club becuse they played in the 3rd division get some reality your shitty club is not much bigger than my local team which is Nuneato boro get used to it.
DonsFan Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 You would say that though, you have no past. I think people quite fancy beating us because of the whole franchise thing. I was also hoping we could surprise a few people, but the bookies have put paid to that.
