Guest Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Graeme Le Saux for manager. Oi! He can take a number and get in the queue of people to reject the vacancy just like everyone else
AmericanScott Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 I'm just as excited as about 98% of you about Ince possibly being our new manager but I'm too used to the fact now we get hyped up on amazing things like this and we get let down big time!
Mickey O'Neil Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 Wifes love money don't they? Will this see the return of RedOnRed? ****ingtons....I was gonna say that! Welcome back RedonRed. Cuppa tea, massage? Anyway, my stab in the dark....Was Ince at West Ham the same time as Aldridge? Could be the link .possibly. I can imagine Aldridge saying "It's O.K Paul, I'm keeping a tight rein on Milan, You'll be fine with us". Anyway, like it was said earlier, if a manager doesn't doubt his ability, then he has nothing to fear. I'll be the first to admit I didn't want him around the megson gate period, but now we're down, I'll gladly take him. I did want Billy, but seeing as he has touted himself for the Hearts job, he can knob-off. And another thing, we don't sack managers willy-nilly like the media would have everyone believe.
Number 6 Posted 4 June 2008 Posted 4 June 2008 the fact that the situation isn't being sorted until Ince is back obviously means he will be asked if he would like to come here. Maybe franchise FC are eyeing up some compo from Milan.
Raj Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Be good if we got Incey. It would be nice to have a manager, who as a player actually achieved something. The last one we had like that was....Oh let me think now......MoN!!!!!
teblin Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Blackburn Rovers want Paul Ince to replace Hughes as manager at Ewood Park. (Various)
Raj Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Blackburn Rovers want Paul Ince to replace Hughes as manager at Ewood Park. (Various) We're bigger than Blackburn. They've never won fcuk all....apart from FA cup in the old days.....oh and the Premier League.....
dandannieldanok Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Cap in hand to MK Dons for the second summer running.........farcical
norfolkfox222 Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I prefer 4 minute warning by Mark Owen.Well I don't but I do remember it. I actually do prefer it imagine that song with the JT bit keep kicking in!! oooo ITs what dreams are made of
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 Well i suppose the Dons have one thing good to come out of it, if we nick there manager for the second time at least we wont be going back for thirds because i can bet that Ollie will be there new gaffer!!
He's not bald Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 No chanceDons have more going for them than we do If Blackburn want Ince we have no chance He still lives in the North West and his son has just signed for Liverpool....some choice I think!
purpleronnie Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 No chanceDons have more going for them than we do They do?
Ric Flair Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I'd be amazed if Blackburn don't go for Sam Allardyce.
The People's Hero Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I'd be amazed if Blackburn don't go for Sam Allardyce. Mallard Ice. That should be a disgustingly sugary alcopop for the ladies, made from ducks.
Stevosevic Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 NewtonFox on talkingballs, anyone remember him? He has been reasonably reliable in the past. He's saying Ince has applied for the job, well, someone did on his behalf while he is on holiday. http://www.talkingballs.co.uk/showthread.p...410&page=11
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 If we do get Ince in i hope we can get him quickly.Hughes has gone to Man City quick enough. Time is not on our side we need a new man to assess the squad bring in players, sell players, get his tactics emprinted on the squad etc. That takes a lot of time. We don't want the new man to rush in, make panic signings and end up just like last season. We need a slow, relaxed process, long enough for the players to get to know the manager and for him to know them. ..................... The players are all on holiday for another three weeks and the transfer window is open for another three months I'd say time is most definitley on our side. Your just increadible impatient and you want something to talk about.
Manwell Pablo Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 If that is true then this is a done deal. Nice. IF it's true, Newton isn't always right. Personally I can't see what Ince is set to gain from this is Blackburn are actually after him, it's an extremlly well run Premier League club, where as we are a League One shambles. In fact as much as I hate the Dons, Winkleman, Milton Keynes as a whole, oh and Red on Red, I'm sturggling to see why he'd risk leaving them to come here, it's a huge challenge. I know he's the kind of bloke that likes a challenge but still, coming here could put the seriously dent his promising mangerial CV very quickly........ On a seperate note I bet Thracian is ecstatic.

The only thing i can think of is that he knows he can't do worse here. Where as at blackburn can he take them any further than hughes has? Not saying he would choose us over blackburn, but just a thought.
Flynny Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I doubt Blackburn want Ince more than I doubt he actually wants this job. Premier League clubs don't take risks like that anymore. They'd rather appoint someone proven who might be shit than (relatively) unproven who might be shit.

Can't see Ince going to Blackburn with the like of Big Sam around. He is made for them. we have a lot to offer ince. Never underestimate his complete conviction that he can do the job. We all look at this with the downsides in mind, but the likes of Ince will not consider failure as a possibility.
Tilley Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 I will be very very suprised if he comes here, & as someone else has said on these boards, IF he does come, do we really want someone who would jump ship when a Premier League club comes knocking, We will just be another stepping stone for Ince.
Zingari Posted 5 June 2008 Posted 5 June 2008 respect to MM if he could pull this off ; Ince would be fantastic for the club
