syston_fox Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Julian Watts v Chelsea in a 3-1 defeat... 1996 I think
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Think it was in a 1-0 match vs. Wolves in what I think was 1994 (maybe 93), was a bit young to know all the details. Could've been Iwan Roberts.Remember the 94 playoffs vs. Crystal Palace quite well though. And hello everybody
isaidno Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Think it was in a 1-0 match vs. Wolves in what I think was 1994 (maybe 93), was a bit young to know all the details. Could've been Iwan Roberts.Remember the 94 playoffs vs. Crystal Palace quite well though. And hello everybody I think Mike Whitlow scored the winner in that match, roberts scored 2 against wolves on his debut, I think that was 2-2 though
Joe. Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Tony cottee vs Wimbledon not sure of the year Could quite possibly be the same for me. Although I'm not 100% sure.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Lawrie Dudfield against Watford reserves in a 4-1 win. Can't remember the year though.
ASH17LCFC Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Tony James Peterborough first game of the 93 - 94 season ( Won 2-1)
Karljohn Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Gary Lineker (I think) on a saturday morning against Villa - won 5-0 with an 11.30 am kick off, think he got 3 that day along with Lynex and Eastoe - 1984/85 But if you count John O'Neills own goal in a 1-0 defeat against QPR as being a city player to score that was in 82/83
Cat Burger Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 I have no clue, as is the case with the last goal I saw as a Leicester City fan.
Sly Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Tony James against Oxford, Filbert Street, 11th May 1991! I was 11.
Jordan Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 Matty Fryatt against Preston home this year. Oh, wait, that was called back for offside. Actually, Fryatt put another one in a few minutes later. So it was that goal. No ... that, too, was called back for offside. But they finally got one in stoppage time--Lee Hendrie! What's that? That one didn't count, too?
DB11 Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 The first one I proper remember was Lilian Nalis' volley against Leeds. However, it would have been when we drew 2-2 with Southampton on the first game of 03/04 season. Les Ferdinand header??
Mickey O'Neil Posted 14 June 2008 Posted 14 June 2008 I believe mine was Andy Peake (maybe?) It was deffo vs Norwich, I'm 99.9% sure we lost 4-1 at home and there was defo a streaker as well. And just to disturb this 9/10/11 year old some more, on the way to the game, the fu cking Krankies pulled up next to us at Needham St lights (in a fuc king Suzuki/Bedford Rascal no less) and asked us where the ground was. My dad told them to follow us.They gave me a huge stack of "I'm in Jimmy's Gang" stickers. I swear we were in the East Stand on that day, but I remember standing on my crash helmet that day, I'm sure!!! Or else i'm ****ung mad! Was there standing in the East Stand in 81-83? I know i wasn't behind the goal. How could you not support City after that debut!?
Ibbyfox Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 5th April 1988 v Birmingham City at Filbert Street. We won 2-0 but for the life of me I cannot remember the scorer of the first - might have been Gary McAllister ........ but might not have been - anyone else remember this one? Not my first game though!! That was earlier in the same season when we lost 1-0 at home to Bournemouth ............. oh happy days!!
morris1234 Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 i dont even remember what year it was but we beat spurs 4-2, i think savage scored a peno in the game but i cant remember! there was also a lovely little near post flick into the back of the net from somone but again cant remember but the first goal was from a corner and i think it was brian deane!not sure! i had obviously seen goals before in reserve games etc on tv etc but that was the first home league game i ever saw!
leeleic Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Emile Hesky. City vs Borough in the Coca Cola cup final. I was 3 rows from the front. Massive goal mouth scramble in the box which resulted in the ball dropping to the feet of the big man. He duly obliged to smashing the ****er into the roof of the net. (or it may have been a tap-in , either way, i prefer my memory!)
syston_fox Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Ian Marshall vs Blackburn in the fog 1996.1-1 draw. But did you actually see the goal because I know I didnt through the fog
Guest Bilo Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 Gary Coatsworth, 25 yard screamer against Luton at Filbert Street. Feburary 1994.
Phlashman Posted 15 June 2008 Posted 15 June 2008 It would of been the first goal in the Gordan Banks testmonial in 1995, 4-4 was the result I think, but no idea who scored, let alone who scored first.
