Good win for Dan Evans especially after being 2 sets down.

Sidenote, is it just me or does Tim henman sound just like Christian Horner?

In all seriousness, my first thought was why the **** is Christian Horner commentating on tennis 🤣 it's uncanny.

I wish Osaka well.

Clearly needs to sort her mind out and re set away from the media glare.

Good night for Canadian tennis though with Fernandez and FAA winning.

Americans would have enjoyed Tiafoe beating Rublev.

Osaka needs to take the rest of the season off, then reassess herself come January.

She was cruising on serve last night, an extremely strong performance in that department, then in the latter stages of the second set she just lost the bloody plot, that affected her for the rest of the match, the crowd even turned on her because of her childish antics.

Fernandez at 18 years old, played incredibly mature tennis and stuck it to her, fair play 👏🏻

Another strong performance from Radacanu.

Will be interesting to see how she handles a wall in Sorribes Tormo in the next round.

Looks like that wall is crumbling.

I’m gobsmacked, Emma just annihilated a player who’s been in excellent hard court form, SST has played some of the best matches on tour this year, yet Emma made her look like an ITF scrub.

Crumbling was putting it nicely mate lol

Emma just smashed that wall with a pickaxe.

I was looking for some word play as you'd said wall. Crumbling was the best I could think of lol

Demolition!

It will be so interesting to see how she does against Barty. Top 100 now in the live rankings which is what I thought she should be aiming for by the end of the year  - what do I know?!

Radacanu gets Shelby Rogers next, as Ash Barty from 5-2 up in the third, ends up shitting herself under the bright lights of Arthur Ashe Stadium.

A real shocker from Barty.

Even she gets the yips then !

Both Rogers and  Radacanu will really fancy their chances and the former will have that home expectation like Emma did at Wimbledon I guess

Rogers is 10 years older and got to quarters last year, so I'm sure she'll back herself with the experience she's got. That said it's never affected Radacanu in the past facing more experienced players.

Incredible achievement for Raducanu to get to the QF, but all she needed today was to get the ball in play, Rogers was absolutely horrific.

Bencic will probably be a bit too much for her at this point, but hopefully she can make a match of it.
