Dunno how Murray just won that.

Oh and @leicsmac... This one is an ATP 250.

Reminds me of the match where he saved five match points against Robredo and Tommy then gave him the finger (in jest) at the net when it ended.

And you're right, it's a 250, got it mixed up with Dubai which is a 500 next week.

I remember that match.

If he somehow beats Medvedev, I half expect him to retire. But in actual fact he won't retire until he's completed the Grand Slam in about 2060.

Sadly he didn't beat Medvedev, but good to see him still fighting and enjoying the game.

Norrie and Alcaraz in their second final in as many weeks today - from Buenos Aires to Rio.

And a tough opening draw for Murray in Dubai too.

Norrie beats  Carlos Alcaraz in Rio.

Great performance from him on the clay .

Congratulations.

EDIT: Oh apparently Garcia was injured in the last set but still got to take advantage

Watched Emma win earlier, so now in position ready to watch Andy v Jack. Fingers crossed Andy gets it done quickly (sorry Jack) so I can run over to watch at least a set of Alcaraz

Draper beats Murray, decent win by all accounts.

Seems to be a good prospect - maybe just needs to work on his fitness.

Nice to see Emma get some form back - hopefully will stay injury free.

Draper has to retire against Alcaraz. Shame. Was getting battered anyway, but still would have been better to see him finish the match.

He was already struggling with his thigh, and then it seems against Alcaraz he developed an injury in his abs. Seeing he's not recovered sufficiently to play in Miami it suggests he was right in retiring. His injury/sickness record isn't that great though, possibly worse than Emma Raducanu... but of course he's not under the microscope like she is for people to really pick up on it.

Oh I didn't mean I wanted him to finish injured just meant regardless of the final score would have been better to see him finish the match fit and healthy.

Ah I see. Jack was playing really very well on Monday - if he were fit I am confident it would have been a lot more competitive. I look forward to seeing plenty of matches between them in the future. Andy and Carlos are scheduled to meet in the third round in Miami, assuming they both get that far - really intrigued to see that one!

Russia & Belarus players being allowed to play at Wimbledon this year which is quite a remarkable u-turn given the fact that a ban was deemed appropriate last year.

What has changed  - the murder of thousands of innocent people, that's all.
