Unabomber Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 That was pretty cringeworthy. The legend handled it quite well though.
Finnegan Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 I think I just chewed my fist off. Awful. lol "According to our international sources [blatantly YouTube] you scored the greatest goal of all time?" Hahahahah. Huckerby: "Huh?"
Joe. Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 I love it how many times he announces him as a legend in the opening 45 seconds. It's hilarious how little the presenter knows about football.
Father Ted Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 Legend! Just look at this stuff on the internet! All I will remember him for is for being a little diving cheat!
Darkzzz_ Posted 22 July 2008 Posted 22 July 2008 When it comes to wit and humour we deliver it far more better than the yanks. That was horrible to watch, The guy was a clown and Huckerby really handled that well, very modest. It is even worse listening to american commentary, words such as "D-line" and "PK" are just a constant pain to my ears.
Corky Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 Huckerby is one of the players I cannot stand. The Coventry and Forest connection is bad enough, but he's a diving, posing little runt. They idolise him where I live, some were even wondering why he wasn't in the England squad a couple of years ago. Hope he never comes back.
Unit Posted 25 July 2008 Posted 25 July 2008 that's awful... "he played for norfolk!" "here's the best goal ever, you scored it against manchester"....
Father Ted Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 They don't have a clue about footy Is that fussball, or do you mean soccer?* *Say in American accent
purpleronnie Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 They don't have a clue about footy The commentators don't but the fans absolutely do, most fans cant stand them, I like them though.
Father Ted Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 The commentators don't but the fans absolutely do, most fans cant stand them, I like them though. You talking about that football where the big gays run around in pads wishing they were as hard as rugby players...
act smiley Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 The commentators don't but the fans absolutely do, most fans cant stand them, I like them though. They're hilarious - especially the way that Eric Wynalda's co-commentry is just "I could have done better than that" or "I could have done that" depending on whether it was a bad or a good thing that occured.
Jordan Posted 27 July 2008 Posted 27 July 2008 Huckerby started his MLS goal ledger with a tap-in today. The stuff of legends, I guess. You talking about that football where the big gays run around in pads wishing they were as hard as rugby players... Mods, can we please have an obscene languague or Sheehan-like filter every time this inane comment appears in General Football and Sport? Thanks. You guys are the best.
