Simi Posted 23 July 2008 Author Posted 23 July 2008 No. The captain should take the game by the balls and seize control of situations. Oakley is far too quiet for my liking. One of the problems we've had at the club over the past few seasons is a genuine lack of leadership.Unfortunately I couldn't go last night but hope to make Quorn tommorow. I'll make a better judgement on him then. Out of interest who do you think would make the best captain? Make yourself known if you go tomorrow. If I had to choose someone at the moment, it'd be Wesolowski. We really do have a lack of leaders at all. I can't think of anyone that dominates an area of the field, while Kisnorbo is out anyway. I thought about Henderson, but he can barely command his own area so that rules him out.

Ash Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 How much are tickets for the game? Is there any where to park?
Unabomber Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 How much are tickets for the game? Is there any where to park? OS Not sure about parking but i'm sure that there will be spaces near by.
mmarkie Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 There's parking in a field right next to the pitch but you have to be there reasonably early to get a space.
Father Ted Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 There's parking in a field right next to the pitch but you have to be there reasonably early to get a space. Cheers for that

morris1234 Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 sorry have i missed something? i know a lo of city fans can talk shite but whats with all the player bashing after a game or even half of one in a pre-season friendly? all i see now is, 'i dont ever want to see rowe-turner again', 'king was shit' ' campbell was crap' blah blah blah give it a rest! anyway does anybody else think morrison would be a good shout as captain, and yes only judging from what ive read from the first pre-season games , he is an absolute beast that talks a lot , which we need, and somebody who realises how lucky he is and actually wants to play and learn at our club!!! he seems just genuinelly bothered overall which tbh not many other players have shown in the past few seasons.
Wooly Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 People starting to turn around to the idea that Wesolowski is shit and will soon be on the scrapheap with every other youngster we've produced in the last 6 years?

I think calling people shit and saying they shouldn't be played again is a bit extreme, but if you're not going to start gathering opinions in pre-season games then when are you? On a seperate note, i think Morrison could make a great captain - i also think that is what he is going for judging by the amount he was shouting yesterday. Let's see if he can pick his game up a little and he may be in with a shout...
Stevosevic Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 People starting to turn around to the idea that Wesolowski is shit and will soon be on the scrapheap with every other youngster we've produced in the last 6 years? Can't say i have ever agreed with the rave reviews or expected promise. We'll see what happens, He will be 21 in a months time and is yet to become a first choice player in the middle of midfield.
Father Ted Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 People starting to turn around to the idea that Wesolowski is shit and will soon be on the scrapheap with every other youngster we've produced in the last 6 years? He was looking a VERY VERY good player in his first 45 minutes until Balde the baldy broke his leg...
Stevosevic Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 He was looking a VERY VERY good player in his first 45 minutes until Balde the baldy broke his leg... You could also argue it was only a friendly though.
Joe. Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 I expect to see: Henderson Gilbert Tunchev N'Gotty Mattock Gradel Adams Kishishev Porter Fryatt Chambers Something like that anyway. I just hope Levi and Gradel start on the left and right wings respectively. Tunchev should also play.
iancognito Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 How much are tickets for the game? Is there any where to park? £7 and £4 for concessions. An extra quid for the Leicester game to cover the stewarding say says Quorn FC dot com

Joe. Posted 23 July 2008 Posted 23 July 2008 Can't see Gradel starting. I'd expect Kish and King in central midfield and Adams wide right. That's what I've been meaning to ask actually. I've seen Adams mentioned wide right a few times in this thread. I always got the impression he was predominantly a central midfielder who sometimes plays on the left? Has he played wide right for us in pre-season so far or something?

Yeah that's the only position he has featured in so far, although for the last few minutes against Luton he switched with Dyer and played abit down the left. Would love to see him start in the middle though, perhaps tomorrow evening.
Simi Posted 24 July 2008 Author Posted 24 July 2008 I think there might be a trialist play tonight. Is this just mindless speculation from you again, Flair?
Joe. Posted 24 July 2008 Posted 24 July 2008 I think there might be a trialist play tonight. This a little whisper you've heard then? Any ideas who?
Ric Flair Posted 24 July 2008 Posted 24 July 2008 Is this just mindless speculation from you again, Flair? I've heard that there are a few players arriving to train with us and was guessing perhaps one might be in tonight? That news of Lowry in the Transfer Talk certainly backs up that players might be arriving on trial very soon.
