Please play Ashley Chambers.

I think that'll be a dead cert to be honest mate. I hope he plays too, it's been a while since I've seen him play and the recent reports about him are good.

Trialist going to be a right winger or striker?

Wasn't expecting such a young side, would rather have seen players like Tunchev, Fryatt, Chambers etc included.

Feel like I've been kicked in the balls after seeing that team.

We started with Carl Cort last time.

Dickov would not be a trialist, nor would Idiakez. I don't think anyway.

how do u no that? there not signed on so he might have 1 last look at him before he decides on signing them

I'm just speculating.

But both have other offers of contracts from other club which is a stone dead deal. Don't see why either would want to go through a trial process when they have firm offers on the table.

Weso showed at the start of last season that he can cut it in the first team. His partnership with Clemence was very promising just a shame it had to be broken for one reason or another.

Which games have you seen? Kishishev has played 90 minutes in total during pre-season. He's played well and looked like he cared, but he's got a way to go before he'll be holding down a starting place.

For me Weso was our best central midfield player when fit at the start of last season. But, although the record shows that Clemence had a surprising number of assists I would not say we often controlled the game in that area nor were we especially creative. I did expect an improvement with Oakley's arrival but it was Hendrie who offered what little promise was shown and he was soon out injured.

Perhaps some would be happier to play two defensive midfielders and strive for 46 1-0's but I don't see anyone apart from the unknown quantity of Adams who has Porter's vision and ability to support consistently in midfield and no-one with the consistency of passing and ability to drive into the box that King has either.

Unfortunately for King he needs to be fully fit - which means regular games - and he needs to have the licence to play that way and nothing I've seen at City these last 12 months suggest that he'll get either.

So, for me, that leaves Porter or Adams as the best answer for a genuinely creative midfielder and, from what I've already seen I'd be surprised if Adams retains possession as well as Porter who's just about the best in the club in that respect.

Not that I see it happening. Two from Weso, Oakley and Kishishev look like the manager's preferred choices and that means that any team stiffling Gradel will be well on the way to a draw or victory because I simply don't see many goals or assists coming from any combination of Weso/Oakley/Kishishev.

How many times will those three drive through into the penalty box?

But since when has logic or the statistical facts stopped City managers dropping a clanger? If, as someone wrote. MM wants his highest paid (and most experienced players) in the team - as we had last season in the relegation run in - then that's how it will be.

Despite the fact that it is vital we win from the off and establish ourselves as a team to be wary of.

And that means being creative and, perhaps just as importantly, being supportive.

We didn't support either fast enough nor high enough up the field for all but brief spells at Luton. In fact I thought Luton were faster when it came to closing us down and we had no-one who seemed about to make themselves some space and dictate the pace.

Who is O'Neill by the way?

Luke O'neil  went to school with him and played a few games with him for the school team. Think plays mainly right back for city but think he can also play right mid or centre mid. Really good player, nice touches, quick feet and is able to use both feet aswell. Top lad, definitly one to watch out for
