Logan gone to Luton

Surpised that he went to Luton

Thought he would fight it out with Henderson for the no.1 jersey seeing that he did well in the championship

I think he should stay and be given a chance ahead of Martin to allow his development progess

Martin was supposed to be cover for them two or are he?

I don't get this bit on the arrival of Powell -

His arrival could add fuel to the speculation surrounding defender Joe Mattock, who is being linked with Premier League Sunderland

It's obvious that we're going to sign Powell because of Mattock's injury, why the hell would a club try and sign Mattock while he's got ligament damage :dunno:

Sensible all round. It's a big six months for Logan and I really wish him luck.

He needs to focus and learn whether he eventually gets a chance at Leicester or not.

Not that anything I've seen shows him up as obviously worse than our other goalkeepers.

I think its safe to say Logan will never play for Leicester again.

Powell

I've no idea why you say that. Logan is still young and it is well known that goalkeepers often reach their peak later than outfield players.

It must have been a real blow to the lad to be effectively discarded in favour of Henderson last season. Whether that reflected on his start on loan at Stockport I don't know but he doesn't seem to have had much trouble getting someone to show faith in him.

To me Logan has six months to convince City that he is an credible option for the future and even if Leicester don't persevere with him any good form is likely to secure a decent contract elsewhere.

Let me put it this way. If the still youthful Logan has a storming six months for Luton would you send him packing if you were our manager?

The only way Logan will be able to make a career of it at Leicester is by playing out of his skin, week in week out at Luton and I just dont believe he has the ability, and if he does come back I think he will only get his chance if the then number one gets injured.

Powell is 38 and i am sure Tunchev would be better than him on the left. Could it just be for cover or do they think he is adequate until mattock is back?!

Good move for him not going to get a look in here so he may as well go out and play for someone everyweek. Good to see us helping Luton out as well considering all the shit they have gone through. As for Chris Powell he may be alright as cover could be good for players like Mattock to look up to.

Rufus Brevett, Jamie Clapham, Chris Powell... what is it about us and ancient left-backs?

Does anyone know if Beswick is likely to be match fit this side of the New Year? :D

I've always rated Powell quite highly, he'd be a good addition to this squad, bringing some experience.

Pearson isn't the sort of manager to let him relax and just take the money either.

He hasn't done anything to show himself as being obviously better than Henderson either (or Ainswick). the last really good keeper we had was Fulop, Hendo is okay, no better than an average championship 'keeper. Logan is okay and is likely to become an okay championship 'keeper.

As for Chris Powel, reasonable cover and experience, Mattock could learn a thing or two from him.
