The desire to have him on the pitch in ineffective positions smacks a little of IH. He is rising to a big occassion and has done so since La Manga. 70 mins until he proves his consistent salt. I like his passion, I like the fact he is a bit biased , I like the fact he has personality and I actually like his little errors that he makes from time to time. In a Murray Walker style "they make me alugh kind of way". And so long as he's commentating on the game not the weather / view / food he'll be better than Barber.
